Since I work around the area of this pizza place, I told myself I might as well give it a try since it's still not too many good New York style pizza here in Houston. As soon as you walk in, you can see the rows of various style of pizzas that you can buy by the slice or simply the whole pie. It could be a little bit overwhelming since many of the pizza that's for sale are not "traditional" and does not look familiar to first timers.
Luckily the workers there are patient and tell you which one is which. You let them know how many slices of which pizza and they will put it together, put it in the oven to warm it up a bit, and since I usually get it to go and two slices, they will put the slices together into a small box and these specialty pizzas are about $3.50 a slice, which isn't bad at all! So far I have tried the traditional ones like pepperoni pizza, sausage pizza, and then their specialty ones like Philly cheesesteak, Buffalo chicken, and I gotta say, all of them tasted really great!
The pizza itself is nice and soft, well baked, and the crust is delicious enough that you will finish it. The sauce and cheese are good, nothing spectacular but the specialty pizzas I have tried are tasty and does taste like the food it supposed to be, Philly cheesesteak and Buffalo wing experience (as it has celery pieces with ranch drizzles). There's still so much I have yet to try like their sandwiches or the dessert pizza or even their regular desserts. I will still have time to try new ones in the future as again, it's walking distance from my work and sometimes I just want a nice hot slice of pizza for lunch instead of the same food I get at work.
If I ever throw a party at my house, I will certainly order for them from now on instead of big pizza chain because their pizza is priced really well and I know all my friends would...
Read moreI ordered and paid for pasta online. When I arrived there were about five customers standing around waiting. None seemed happy. There were two men preparing food. Neither acknowledged me. Both seemed deeply angry. One was taking out his anger on a ball of dough, (I was standing just over the counter from him, within breathing distance, he never looked up). The other kept rushing to the back and then returning to the front. After watching and waiting I finally asked, is there an order for “T”, whereupon rushing around guy grabbed a bag, put it on the counter, turned and kept working. Ok the food. A cold gelatinous mess. It was tasteless and inedible. An aluminum pan filled with mostly dry pasta, lacking any discernible sauce, and covered in plastic “cheese”. It met its rightful end, the trash bin. If a pizza joint is going offer pasta, do it well. It should be equal to the quality of the pizza, if the pizza is even rated as quality. Secondly the service. There wasn’t a welcome greeting, nor a thank you, we hope you come again. The way I was given my food was equal to -take this sh!t and go. The atmosphere. It was nighttime, but the room was even darker and uninviting. The room was filled with rage and customers standing around waiting and watching two angry men failing. My food tasted like their...
