We finally made the stop after wanting to try this place out for a few months (more on this later).

It was a Monday midday and it was busy, however, service was quick.

The area has some construction going on (as of this review, not sure when it will complete) and the entrance is halfway cordoned off. There’s limited parking within the restaurant and it appears people park by the road.

Although we went during lunch hour we mainly got breakfast food. Very satisfied with our meals. Everything had good seasoning and food was warm. Potatoes were crispy and our lattes were wonderful.

Pricing can get a bit on the high side if you start adding on ingredients to your meals (obviously). Plan to spend $25 per person if you’re going in hungry. If you’re just sitting down for some coffee and pastry expect to spend around $10-15. That being said portions were relatively big (for my standard) so if you wanted to share you’d be fine.

Inside, there’s not a whole lot of seating available (some available outside) and this led us to coming here 2-3 times prior but having to leave because we couldn’t find sitting for our party of 5-7. If you’re a small group 1-4 you shouldn’t have a problem.

The cafe seems to be popular with students so it seems to always be busy and therefore the sitting issue mentioned above.

My only two small gripes, and these are very just personal, I wish the inside had better lightning (seems very dim) and for my omelet, they don’t mix the ingredients with the eggs. They sort of put the ingredients inside the omelet and fold it which means as you’re eating it you sort of have to battle with your fork to get a bit of everything (again this is just me being picky and wishing the extra toppings were mixed in with the eggs).

Overall we’re satisfied we got to try it out. We’re about a 45 minute drive away so unlikely we’ll go often however if we’re in the area we wouldn’t hesitate to make the stop.

There’s nothing objectively bad that would deter me...

Was looking for a coffee spot to do some reading and writing into the evening, and this one popped up as one of the few in Houston that is open late (until midnight seven days a week).

The place has a tastefully eclectic decor, with walls covered by old posters and travel advertisements of cities throughout Europe (Less youthful Houstonians will appreciate the 90s era Continental Airlines placard). There's also a "God Save the Bean" mural of Queen Elizabeth II and framed coffee bags from around the world such as Brazil, Honduras, and Ethiopia. Seating is more than ample with lots of tables and chairs spaced throughout.

As far as menu items, there is food (all-day breakfast and primarily Greek and Italian-type dishes), beer, and wine on offer in addition to coffee. I was also happy to see that all said coffee is sourced locally from Houston roaster Geva Coffee. On this occasion, I just ordered regular drip coffee as I didn't need anything extravagant, Ordering brought the one criticism of the entire experience which was that the barista seemed a bit inexperienced and didn't know what country of origin the coffee beans for that day's drip coffee were when asked. No matter, though, as the coffee tasted good regardless, and I asked more out of curiosity than any actual snobbishness or concern

I'm often more of a nocturnal person, but as mentioned before, it can be hard to find quality coffee places in Houston that cater to the evening crowd. I'm glad to have found another place that checks that box while also just being a solid...

while i am not a huge fan of heights area in general because of how abandoned it looks, im glad i decided to finally try this spot. they have enough parking (private lot) which was great.

once i walked in, i realized what a spacious place this is, and then noticed how everyone was sitting nearby the wall. that being said, there are limited charging stations and the charging plug is a bit loose. they charge fast though. i was lucky to grab a seat by the wall but id say make sure your device is fully charged just in case!

the cafe is quite busy for a weekday but not too crowded. there was only one staff handling everything until the dinner time came however the service was actually pretty good. she was friendly and the food cameout quick. she was aware and made sure all tables were wiped down etc.

i got the avocado toast and lavendar latte. avocado toast was really good, it comes with a side of salad! and the lavender latte was ok, i bit bitter and strong for me. i might go with another drink next time.

overall it's a perfect spot to study, because: strong and reliable wi-fi various food (actual meal) to choose from opens until midnight noise level is medium but low with noise cancelling

it looks like they tried to go with restaurant + study cafe but i think it would be a lot better if they had more charging stations...

the bathroom is clean, interior is cute and cozy, so yes i would def return. i can see this place as a spot to eat and read too. lots of...
