I called before going in to ask about a quick nail trip and nail polish removal. In the phone call I was told it was $5. I asked if they do walk in’s, they said they do but asks for an appointment for most days. Cool
Came into the place, it is practically empty. Is an appointment really necessary? I was sat down and my tech complains that my service is usually $10, but since they told me it was going to be $5 over the phone they will honor it. She asks if I wanted a manicure or a pedi. I decided not to get either at first and was greeted with an annoyed attitude. I changed my mind after and decided to get a pedi since I had a little bit of time to kill before having to go. Her attitude changed and became nicer as we walked over to the chair. I asked for the quickest service (since I was meeting people very soon) and she tried to up sale me for something that would take longer, I rejected since I didn’t have the time to. During this time, another tech comes over and asks if I wanted a manicure. I denied her offer as I really didn’t have the time. “We can do it at the same time, just let me know if you want one.” That’s fine I guess. At this point I just want things done so I can go. During checkout, a third lady asked if I wear lash extensions. I told her I don’t since I didn’t like them, but my friends do. She tries selling me them saying that they just got new ones and that they’re very natural and for a good price.
Overall, it’s okay if you don’t mind the constant solicitation but it gets really annoying. Please listen to your customer’s needs and not try to pressure them into other services if they specify that they don’t have the time or if they...
Read moreWORST MANICURE EVER!!!! The only positives I can say about this place is that it seemed clean. We went there for the first time for an expectant moms group. Upon arrival, we were told to pick a color, from which the selection was very slim. The host of our group had already confirmed what we wanted beforehand, yet upon arrival they kept asking. We told them the $55 , not the $65 option, yet that's not what we received. Communication was hard as no one there seemed to speak even the slightest bit of English. I guess this is how they will rationalize charging us for the more expensive option. Then the manicure itself was TERRIBLE! The water and wax were scalding hot for starters. When it came time to the parafin wax, the manicurist grabbed my hand and put it in the bag of wax before asking or telling me, so I had no chance to take my rings off- what a mess. Then the french shellac I had requested looked awful. Not only did they get the clear coat all over my fingers, but the white tips were bleeding into the clear part of the nail, they weren't filed well- jagged edges all over the place. Then because of these factors, here we are 2 days later and several of the nails have already peeled off. I work at a desk all day, not construction. 2 days before peeling is horrible! The other ladies in our group reported noticing the same thing once they got home. See the lighting in there was rather dark, so it was kind of hard to tell at first. Plus, who would expect...
Read moreWhen I got there they did not seem to like that I had used Groupon. When I said that I had been charged already they asked to see proof and when I showed them the charge on my bank account the first woman continued to scroll through my bank account, extremely unprofessional! When I was taken into the room where she supposedly (they look no different) tinted my eyelashes it was immediately visibly dirty and disorganized. She asked what color I wanted my lashes to be tinted and when I told her she said she had to go outside to check the color?? (My husband later told me that she had just gone out to speak to the first woman who went through my bank statement.) The tint (which was clumpy when it came out of the tube) was kept with a variety of other things in a dingy plastic tub and contained loose cotton pads that didn't look clean. She mixed the tint with an eyebrow brush in a small shot glass that also didn't look clean and then applied it to my lashes with brushes that I had not seen come out of any sealed containers. After a few minutes the woman asked how much I had paid for my appointment which immediately made me uncomfortable but I felt it was a bad idea to lie, and when I answered she seemed immediately displeased. I suppose my lash tinting was done then because she put a brown bucket into the sink and filled it with water which she then used to wipe off my lash tint. No after care instructions, nothing. Didn't even tell me how long to wait to get...
