I go to the bar, they don't have karbach, mostly just sweet cidery sort of beers. Not my thing. If you want a place to drink lone star then this will treat you good on that front.

Read moreAh, Big Star bar—the rightful king of dive bars. This is one of my favorite bars in the city. It's got all the charm and atmosphere of a dive without being dirty or rundown. Retro interior touches with neon lights, arcade machines, and an old pool table are great, and the outdoor area in the back is spacious yet cozy.
Don't get me started on how great the prices are. Riddle me this: how did a friend and I go last weekend and have two Johnnie Walker Blacks, four beers, and a shot of whisky for $25? Because Big Star, that's why.
