Saltgrass Steak House — Restaurant in Houston

It probably my second time there since I moved here and when I tell you me and my husband are very patient and understanding we are but I truly hated my last visit which was Tuesday march 4th. First we were seated at a table which I had requested to sit at a table then not even 5 minutes pass and we get moved to a booth but the lady told me it was because we were to close to the door not sure why I was moved but ok that was her reason then they took a while to get our order in and when we did it also took a while to get our order my husband had to send his plate back because he had requested well done and his steak was not even close to being well done he actually had to send his steak back 3 times until they offered to make a new one we showed the employees how the steak still looked pink. They apologized and said we would not be charged for his plate (that was a lie) I had finished eating and my husband still hadn’t gotten his meal and when he did the waiter offered to give us a dessert that it was on the house we kinda declined but he insisted so my husband choose a dessert and the waiter said he wouldn’t charge us for it and for us to get the chocolate cake that was 11$ because it was on the house. When we get charged we noticed they had still charged us my husbands plate and the dessert wasn’t completely free because they only deducted 9$ out of the 11$ that it cost. I go back and ask for an explanation and the manager just told me the waiter should of never told us my husbands plate was not going to be charged because they don’t do that. And that the waiter wasn’t properly trained I didn’t want to argue with the manager but to be honest I will definitely not be going back and it’s sad because it’s not always that me and my husband have a night out without our kids and for us to have a...

Worst trip to saltgrass we have ever experienced and we go about twice a month.

First, we get sat and CHADNEY was our waitress she took our drink orders goes to next table gets theirs and comes back to us asking about appetizers and went back to them and then came to us again asking about fresh bread instead of doing it all at the same time.

Second, we ordered the cheese fries with the sour cream on the side. Comes out with sour cream on top so she took it back to get remade. Told her not to put our order in until they came back out. Next we get our salads and the cheese fries with NO sour cream at this point. Pepper shakers didn’t work or weren’t full when she had to use them either ended up needing two

Third, we get our food a ribeye and pork chop the loaded mash potatoes were cold. Had to ask over and over again for ranch and more drink when clearly she could see the empty cup on the table then during this whole meal she kepted bringing dirty plates from other tables to our table. We over heard the table behind us, get brought out their sides with their salad and the waiter told the food runner just to stick it under the light on the kitchen till later.

Forth, no manager came to talk or ask how we were doing since we’re Landry card members, but could sit at a table most of our time there talking to the guy that sits everyone. The food amount we got here for the price vs others was skimpy. And on the way out no one greeted us to leave or have a good night.

Update: Went back today to give them another chance and it was worse than before. We ordered some fried pickles and a good amount of them were clumped together and were not cooked all the way. We also, ordered the fried mushrooms and they were good but the sauce was a little too peppery. I told myself i will try out a burger because it is a little hard to mess that up, (MAN WAS I WRONG). I ordered the brisket burger. The bun was burnt. The meat was way over cooked and dry. The burger had too little scoop of brisket on the patty the size of a quarter. The brisket was so salty it was like eating salted pork. The last item wrong with the burger was that it looked like a mud slide. So I'm sorry to say I will never be going back to this place. If a stake house over cooks your stake sure not a big deal send it back, but when you get it back and it is raw that is unacceptable. The next time you give them a try and they completely make a burger that I wouldn't even feed a animal that is just wrong. I'm not saying all salt grass are the same. I just would not go to this one in less they fix a lot of stuff and maybe new management.
