I have been coming to this place since it was Swamp Shack well over 10 years. I drive almost 3 hours (coming and join) because the crawfish was delicious. The quality has been not as great as before but still really good crawfish (with G style). I would come to the restaurant 2-4 times a week. I would post the amount of money I spent here ,but it’s for private bank info i obviously cant. I ALWAYS ask for Yayo or Antonelli. Yayo is the best though! If he is not there I would usually wait for him to come in. I am a huge foodie and part of your food experience is also the staff member who is assisting you. With all this being said I will NEVER come back. Everyone who I have sent to Blue Bayou which is a lot of friends and family have also not come back because I very candidly and with proof from my showed them that this place has ZERO respect to a customer who has been coming for years and who I have sent my family and friends. I have brought people from Cali,Mississippi, Mexico, Pennsylvania, Florida,Lousiana,Frisco,San Antonio to dine here. The last straw was this past June 2024. A waitress we had forgot to get my husband's order (no big deal). he made her aware (she rolled her eyes) keep walking took care of a new table. She came back, got my husband's order didnt ask what he wanted (we never really get her so she doesnt know his order by heart). He told her how he wanted because she had just walked off and she then told him "well I already took it to the cook" She never brought our drinks another gentleman did. We were chewing ice because we were eating spicy food and no drink for well over 45 mins. She charged me and the rest of my party (their first time there) incorrectly, which no big deal ,but when we brought it to her attention she huffed and puffed and almost stomped away and then motion with her finger as in (one second/moment). She brought backs till wrong. I let a team lead know, he fixed and apologize. I still left her a tip which i felt i shouldn't. My friend's husband was very upset, tired of waiting so he went to the car. He ended up waiting about 45 minutes for us to resolve the issue of the incorrect amounts charged in the car. I overheard her and she was looking at me as she told the lead that she charged me what I ate and that I ate those pounds so she was in her right to charge, accusing me of stealing. I repeated the order to her more than once when we it was made. I would NEVER steal much less from a place I go to every week. Secondly, how am I going to steal something you are bringing to me. I left without saying a word because I was livid and i did not want to react on emotion. I reached out to the owner who I thought very highly of multiple times in person and over the phone and by text and got the cold shoulder never was spoken about or addressed. She also tried to charge me gratuity,but was removed by team lead due to it being charged incorrectly ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!!!! The iPad to “check in” 9 out 10 times never works. If Yayo or Antonellie aint there dont even bother going. If you are looking for a private own business to support, it can backfire. Read moreTonight was my first time visiting Blue Bayou for my aunt's birthday dinner and I must say it will be one night I will never forget. I should have been prepared for a not so good night when we arrived for a party of 15 and they did not have our reservation saved we had to wait for people to leave so they could push tables to fit our party. Next when we finally were all able to sit down it took another 15 minutes before they came to get our drink orders. After that about another 15 minutes they brought out chips that were hot but it took them another maybe 15 minutes to bring out salsa and queso so when we got them our chips were cold. Now 10 minutes after that we were asked if we knew what we wanted to order the waitress took everyone's order we waited almost 45 minutes to an hour before our food came out and that still was not everyones order. They brought our drinks out a few minutes before the food which I ordered an alcoholic beverage that tasted like water I told the waitress who had the bartender come over to replace it which he did fix it better. After my Aunt received her food she began to eat she ordered the fish with crawfish sauce which was to salty she had to have the manager come out and she made him aware of the situation. The manager had and attitude when she told him what was going on my aunt then said she did not want anything she would just drink her drink. So at this time my husband received his burger which was over cooked and he could not eat it as I began to drink my new alcoholic beverage that was remade I noticed a bug in it. I told the waitress who told the manager who looked at it and did nothing. By this time I began to feel sick and went to go throw up the waitress heard me and felt so bad and kept apologizing which I really appreciate. Now my whole table was ready to leave we asked for the ticket and was told on the weekend they could not do separate tickets which I did not see any signs to justify that. The manager then got really rude and called security as if we were just going to run out on the bill. I felt like he was being very racists because I would never do that I am a mother of three who set examples and I will pay for anything that was consumed by me or my family. With that being said we were customers in that establishment and was treated with disrespect because we wanted our ordered correctly this place had just reopened so this was horrible. The security guard came to break up the order which could have saved a lot of time if the manager would have not just shouted and walked off. Read moreService was horrible and it wasn’t even busy. Server had bad attitude and dropped salsa all over table and didn’t even clean it up until he brought out food. I got the bayou pot and asked for mild and I know he told them to make extra spicy. The first time we went there the sauce and the bayou pot was real good had a lot of flavor and was mild. This time I couldn’t even enjoy the bayou pot my mouth was on fire and I asked if it was mild when he brought out food and he said yes and he never came back to table to check and I had to flag him down to get a refill and I asked once again if that was mild and the answer I got was they don’t make spicy it’s all mild when menu clearly says regular g sauce or extra spicy g sauce but at that point I didn’t want to argue with server because didn’t want to wait long time or have him do something to my food if I sent back because this place looked like they might do that with how the server was I can imagine the cooks. To top it off the crawfish were frozen and had weird taste to them and I understand it’s out of season but swamp shack sells Frozen crawfish and they cook it so good you can’t taste the difference. He act like they were swamped with people the place was empty and he brought us check and we’re weren’t even done eating yet to ask if we wanted anything else he dropped off check and left. He kept coming looking at table to see if we left money to pay. The manager came to table and asked if we were good after we were done eating but why not come to check on table while we’re eating and then he grabs ticket and said I’m going to talk to server by that time I left money on table and left.
