Observed broken glass on a picture I purchased, I returned inside (within 5 minutes, I never left the parking lot.) immediately with the same item to the checkout area. Manager and cashier could not validate the item. They did not see it on the receipt. I then went to my car to check off items according to the receipt. I was short one item having left the picture in the store. I asked for the manager again, 2 price stickers were on the picture.......ONE MATCHED. I was then told I would be given a refund on a store gift card even though I paid with my debit card AND had my receipt, repeatedly. Their refund policy was then read ALOUD to them, as it's covienently displayed on a red sign, taped to the countertop. I was told, "I have to get change so you can be on your way ma'am." If I could type the tone in which it was said. 🙄. The falacy here: at least know your own refund policy. I was told "no you can get a gift card 2 times by the manager, and once by the cashier who said it with much confidence. Very underwhelmed customer here. Read moreI visited Burlington yesterday evening, As I walked in, I noticed they had plenty of selection on most item's, I decided to go in late it was 9:30 p.m. best decision ever there were hardly any customers In the store which made shopping easier. I decided to go check the bathroom out bad idea it was extremely dirty and only two of the stalls had toilet paper. I finished shopping and went to the register's, only two people were working the register's which was understandable only about 6 people in line, the problem is that two employee kept talking about another employee and scheduling which held up the line and was very unprofessional in my opinion. The other checker was going as fast as she could and doing most of the work. It sounded like one of the cashiers may have been in charge at night, which made it worse when you heard them speaking about the employee that was not present.
