June 14, 2024 I placed an order via phone for curbside pickup . My order was crab cakes, a salmon ceasar salad, and an cheesecake . The total for my order is $65.00 I also tipped $20.00 for curbside .When I arrived home I noticed my protein was not in the bag for my salad . After noticing I was missing items I called the location where I purchased my food 520 Meyerland Plaza in Houston Texas where I spoke with manager Jasmine . I informed Jasmine about my missing items and she did apologize and states “ you can get a salmon plate with two sides “ I told Jasmine (manager) of the two sides of choice and that I would be in some this week. Jasmine states “ I will place the order in the system and place it under your last name .” On June 17, 2024 I decided to go pickup the meal that was promised , I spoke with a male that was considered to be manager I explained that previously occurred and he proceeded to inform me my name wasn’t in the system . The guy kept me on hold for 36 mins and never came back to the phone. Same day I went into the restaurant because I was already outside waiting for 30 mins or so I spoke with the togo girl (Courtney ) whom was very nice and helpful . I explained every thing and quickly brought over manager ( Daniela ) once again I explain what has happend. At this time I am now waiting for 30 mins . The manager Daniela never came back to speak with me until Courtney ask her did she forget about me instead she tells Courtney thru her ear piece “ tell her she has to pay the difference for the plate “ At this time I’m highly upset because my dog has been in the car for now 40 minutes, Ive wasted time driving to this location which I stay 40 mins with traffic from, all of the “ managers are highly unprofessional “ , and I was not able to eat for the day .In total I’ve wasted 1hr and 30 mins of my time which I had plans to visit my mother in the hospital .” I would like to address this issue because this is very unprofessional as an business and I pretty much never received the food that I paid for . Its not my fault that the kitchen forgot to place my protein in the bag . I have never experienced this issue with any restaurant in my life and the lack of unprofessional was very distasteful. I would never recommend this location to anyone due to lack of care for customers , lies , and...
Read moreI have visited multiple locations and have written glowing reviews for all of them so this is my first negative review of Saltgrass. My colleagues and I (three of us) eat lunch at this location every Wednesday. In the past 12 months, we have eaten elsewhere maybe three times. That makes us regular patrons of this location. We order the same lunch each time (each of has our favourite) and the orders are not overly complicated. Yesterday (02/26/25) was the worst experience we have ever had and definitely worst experience I have personally had at a Saltgrass. I always order grilled chicken and Brussel sprouts - I do not ask for any changes or additions, just the way it is prepared. My colleague always orders the Hill Country salad - she does change the fried chicken to blackened, grilled chicken. Our server did not write anything down and there were many things wrong with our meals. My colleague's salad had fried chicken and was missing the dressing side she requested. When they finally (after 30 extra minutes of waiting on top of a 30 minute wait to that point) brought it back out, her chicken was grilled but did not have the blackened seasoning on it and her salad was the size of a side salad - initially it was the correct size. My meal had to be corrected three times. My first grilled chicken was charred and dry. The second time it was blackened and grilled (which I did not request) and it was burned. The third time, the Assistant GM, Jonathan, offered to prepare and pack it to go as I had lost my appetite and the entire lunch took so long that we were going to be late for a meeting. By comparison, my other colleague's grilled chicken was correct. After over 1 and 1/2 hours there, I only ate a side salad. I never expect them to remove items from a bill but this time it should have been offered. Based on our entire experience, from the terrible service to the kitchen quality issues, they should have offered more than an apology. This is not an inexpensive place to eat and they should consider that when there is zero quality control from the kitchen. There are amazing servers at this location like Milena and Keisha so if we decide to visit again, we will request one of them but today was a miss from start to finish. I wish I had taken photos but I was so upset with all of the issues, I did not...
Read moreSo the restaurant is 1/2 empty, many tables not being used, it is 11:50 AM and the lunch crowd is waiting at the door, waiting 15 minutes to be seated even there are over a dozen tables not in service. So if customer just had an hour to eat, they don’t wait 15 minutes to be seated, they leave. So every minute more customers enter and are told about the wait and then leave. In the 10 minutes I’ve been waiting I have seen over 20 people who wanted to eat here just leave. That is a lot of lost revenue. And that is just for 10 minutes. I wonder how many customers don’t eat here due to the wait time, a wait time that is artificially created due to all the tables not being utilized. It is nuts. If this is due to a labor shortage then pay the employees more, or pay them enough, so that you are not losing thousands of dollars per day in lost revenue. Some companies are offering signing bonuses, but most have found it is very effective to PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES MORE. Pay more than your competitors and you will hire more and you will serve more customers and you WILL MAKE MORE MONEY. This is real simple, pay more, hire more, and make more. Pay more instead of having disappointed customers who leave instead of eating there, they will dine and return, as opposed to not dinning and never returning. Also, beware of the sidewalk ramp leading up to the front door from the handicapped parking area, there a horseshoes embedded in the concrete and some have poke up through the concrete creating trip hazards, on a handicapped ramp, and others have gone missing creating just the opposite effect, there are holes in the concrete shaped like horseshoes, and both of these are problems for any one who has mobility challenges, for example those who use walkers, or have problems navigating an incline. The last place you want to have any trip hazards are on a handicapped ramp. The service was excellent, the food great, my server was named Brenda and she could not have done any better, it was perfect. Perfect service from an imperfect restaurant. Essentially everything was perfect, except for the artificially created wait for a table. People on a 1 hour lunch should not have to wait for a table, unless all the tables are in use. HIRE...
