Came here to support the business but soon realized that we were not welcome there as we made our order and watched as many people came in and got their food. We realized some were call in orders but it soon became apparent that they were skipping us as people came in making orders and getting their food while we stood there patiently waiting but being ignored. We finally asked the careless young man who was changing the trash can in between serving food without washing his hands about our order and they hadn’t even began making our order. Maybe it was because he was too busy taking money out the register and splitting it with the other lady who blatantly kept ignoring us. As I requested a refund the lady who kept ignoring us the whole time processed our refund and after putting in the system to refund our money on our card instead of the cash she then informs me that it would take up to 7 days to receive the refund. Once the other lady came out the back the two employees who were stealing money from the register quickly changed their whole demeanor. The other lady who came out from the back was nicer and more courteous but honestly I feel like the two thieving employees were treating us a certain way because we aren’t black. They made us feel very unwelcome and I hope the owner looks into what I’m talking about as far as them stealing money from the register and splitting amongst each other. I really did hope to support the business and give a great review but after being treated like this at this restaurant I will not be supporting any business like this one. The nicer lady did offer to give us the meal for free if we’d wait but I honestly lost all interest in this business. Read moreI went to Sleepys Friday 6/23/23 with my friends They ordered a 10 piece wing half lemon pepper half plain and a large fry. I was right behind them but the girl with the colorful dreds didn't take my order until about 10 minutes later. She started doing other duties. She knew we were together but I figured she was just busy and I just waited patiently. My friends food came out and then another order came out that was sat in the left corner. The girl with the dreds looked me dead and my face but never said anything. She took other orders , gave other people their food and then switched off to another girl with a small fro. I waited another 20 minutes and then told them I would come back. The girl with the fro said okay. I came back about 15 minutes later and the with the fro asked me my ticket #. I told her ticket #15. She began to take orders , give people their food. I told her I would be back again, she then said she was coming. I said okay. About 10 minutes later she took some more orders and gave other people their food. She then asked me if my order number was 15 again, I said yes. She reached back in the left corner like she already knew that was my food and said 5 wings right. I said nah that not my 5 wings.
I am not sure if those two thought I was someone else or what but there behavior towards me felt deliberate. It's like they were trying to get me back.
That was my second time in there. The first time I ordered a porkchop but they were out and they lady was professional and sweet. She didn't have anything I wanted. She told me she was refunding my money but I didn't ever see the return.
That last experience sealed the deal. I'll never go back to Sleepys. Its a shame because I still have not...
Read moreA few coworkers and myself ordered lunch here today. When the Uber eats driver dropped our food off we made sure that was all the bags that was supposed to be picked up and proceeded to go inside and separate our meals. After the meals were separated we noticed we were missing 2 meals, 3 sides and a shrimp salad. I called the restaurant and the first lady answered (I guess she was working the front and answering phones) I started to tell her that our order was wrong and is missing a few items. As I’m talking she proceeds to cut me off saying she packed the bag and she made sure everything was in there nothing should be missing. I’m telling her well it wasn’t packed right because we’re clearly missing food. She puts me on hold and gets her “manager” on the phone. As I’m explaining the same thing to the manager she cuts me off too, talking fast and going down the list of food we ordered not giving me time to say “yes we have that but we’re missing sides and and entrees! She then says “well we packed it and we don’t see none of that on this order so I don’t know what to tell you ma’am.” We spent over $200 on food and for you to say “I don’t know what to tell you” is like a slap in the face as y’all steal our money for half of our order. We will NEVER order here again and the food some us did have was salty over fried fish and shrimp and the etouffee was flavorless watery with 3 shrimp. Ridiculous! Why have “shrimp salad” on the menu when it’s a regular side house salad? Y’all need to fix the menu to reflect the right...
