Nut allergy friendly - Their menu is labeled with nut allergens, and I usually avoid the taiyaki because Nutella is a filling option. Anyone who knows Asian dessert shops knows SomiSomi, and it is truly a blessing that they've opened another location in a prime growing plaza next to two major Asian stores (99 Ranch and Teso Life). Their opening swirl flavors (which may change over time, weekly or seasonally) are their classic Milk / Strawberry, Cookies and Cream / Banana Milk, and Ube/Matcha. The Ube Matcha is simply amazing, perfecting the flavors of both and adding complexity with matcha powder (toppings are included in the price). Service is fast, with my order coming out in about 5 minutes with 5-6 people ahead of me. SomiSomi is the gold standard of desserts at this price point (less than $5 for a huge serving in a cup) and this location is no exception.

This SomiSomi has seatings! The place is very cute and spacious with seating benches, tables and standing tables. We ordered an upside down ube swirl and 5 taiyakis. The soft serve was creamy with perfect amount of sweetness and the taiyakis were hot and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The ice cream came with unlimited toppings and a macaroon. Everything was delicious! Customer service was also great. I came a few min before the opening time and the owner saw me so she opened the door and told me to come in bc it was too hot outside to wait. Will definitely be back soon!

Somi Somi is amazing! Their ice cream is extremely silky and flavorful, with appropriately flavored matcha soft serve that has the appropriate sweet-to-bitter ratio. The taiyaki is crispy, chewy, and filled with a number of different fillings; my favorite being the new matcha custard. Onn top of that, the franchise owner is the sweetest and she deserves to see her business thrive after the power outage screwed over their opening week.
