Taqueria El Sol De Mexico — Restaurant in Houston

I visited here before it was horrible. I had tacos and they were flavorless. For what I ordered wasn't worth the price. Better luck at a taco truck. Anyway a year later I decided to give it another try. I had pupusas and they were gross. The masa had too much oil in it and the inside was yellowish, looked gross. The cortido was all vinegar and didn't come with the regular tomato sauce. Instead I used the red table salsa, which was the only decent thing there. The horchata tastes dusty. Food is five stars. My first choice for a great mexican meal. My grandkid love it too! Prices are very reasonable, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is far from fancy. Who cares? The food is awesome. It helps if you speak Spanish, although i do not speak Spanish and get by just fine. I am alarmed that anyone would give this place only one or two stars. The food is delicious! PS I have ALWAYS received great customer service. Maybe those that say the waitresses are rude don't smile...

Wish I could give them no star, worst customer service, one of the waitress was on the phone playing the other one didn't know what was going on, we waited around 10 mins for them to even get our drink orders, and at that point we had to ask someone if they were going to take our order. No only they didn't have a good actitud they were just straight rude. How in the world did they miss the big table?? Seriously!!! First and last...
