Sorry for what I am about to share, yet it is a very honest comment and hopefully will be a wake up call for management. As we enter we were greeted by a staff at counter. I asked to explain how the manu worked. They explained that we could order by menu or to choose and all eat buffet including the drink. We all 3 opted to go for the buffet. We proceed to serve ourselves and were told that food was fresh. Truth was that food was less than warm. After I eat one, I suggested my mom to ask to order one as it would be hot and easier for her to eat. Yet the manager told her to take any one from the buffet as they were fresh. She took it, and after about half done she started to get abdominal disconfort as it was less than warm. My mom did not know it was supposed to be hot for better digestion. My husband half way on the meal he stood looking to get seconds and all trays were empty. He stood by for 5 minutes waiting for food to be put on trays. And was told to wait because they make a few as it becomes empty and they don't fill until empty again. At that time, he became upset came back to the table and ask me an my mom that he was finished waiting and if we were finished? we could just go. And that's exactly what we did! Yet went to the counter and even when we had opted for buffet@ $12.98, my husband paid his. I refused for him to pay for mine and my mom's. I told the manager I would not pay for the buffet, but instead I would pay for what we had consumed. She was not happy, stating the rules of the restaurant. In that once one choose to take the buffet we had to pay for it. I told her that I was not refusing to pay for what we had consumed, but by no means was I going to pay for the buffet service that was not render. It is very important for a business to deliver the service that is promised or to fill minimal expectations of the client to keep in business. There is a difference between coming to be served as a guest in the manager's home and be told what and how she would serve her guest, and walking in a restaurant and by served according to the standard expectations that required by the type of establishment. Hope this helps future clients and management, as for me, sorry won't be coming around to check for changes. Just...
Read moreI will definitely will not go back I came with my kids to try the buffet . The soup was nasty it tasted like the broth had been made days and the chicken was with no flavor the drinks they offer was way to sugary like if they had added way to much syrup and the pupusas where like pancakes thin and greasy. Before I even got the pupusas I had told the waitress that we where not staying we where going to go somewhere else and she went to speak to someone over the counter and that lady I believe told her that I was still going to be charge the pupusas because there where cooking . I told her that I was leaving she said I had to pay them . I was so upset because I got charge $27.00 And for pupusas the size of small pancakes and in top they ruined my kids lunch time with me. Spending $27.00 how in the world would I have money to go eat lunch with my kids somewhere else. They did not deserve $27.00 if you plan to try out this place please don't waist your time or money I regret coming to this place and if someone would of give me the hands up I would not...
Read moreThe pupusas are to die for, not literally but they are truly amazing. My friends and I drive across town just to eat here. You can’t beat $7.50 all you can eat papusas and drinks in Houston. They have many authentic dishes as well to choose from on the menu.
The food has a great texture and it does not have a super heavy feeling like some food can have. They are good with their flavors and you can go wrong with the meats of choice they have. When I have a craving for papusas, and the time for a big meal and a nap, I usually end up here. La papusa gigante con queso y jalepenos es mi favorita. Good stuff. You must eat at this here if you...
