We ordered the Lamb Haneeth, Lamb Mandi, and the Chicken Mandi: Our expectations about the chicken were exceeded based on the prior reviews we checked out so this is your sign that this place is legit. It was so good, my wife ordered one more to go. We needed to compare the lamb but it's difficult to prefer one over the other, they're both awesome! Tender, flavor-soaked meats served on a bed of Basmati Rice with pleasing, appetizing spices the perfect amount of blend and mix can only be done by a skilled chef from Yemen. Each meal is almost good for 2 and it comes with yoghurt sauce and tomato chutney. A fair warning, however, once you taste it, nobody's going to blame you if you eat 1 whole plate by yourself. Complemented well with a basket of traditional Kubus (Arabic flat bread) which soaks that rustic, simple, yet oh-so-satisfying Hummus with a taste that brings me and my wife back to when we were gorging out in the United Arab Emirates. Try to eat with your bare hands instead of utensils: Trust me, it makes it all the more appetizing. In all of the places we've been to so far, this is the best yet: I'd easily give 10 if I can. I am looking forward to returning. I don't care if this is more than an hour and a half drive away from us, the food...
Read moreThis place is dirty and needs some serious attention. The wait time for food was supposed to be 20 minutes but end up being 30 mins. The red sauce (sahawiq) and the yogurt was watered down, I felt like I was dipping the bread in water. I ordered fahsa and let me tell you the fahsa was a huge disappointment. Firstly because the fahsa wasn’t served in the hot clay traditional dish. It was served in a bowl. Secondly, fahsa is called fahsa because it supposed to have shredded meat. Unfortunately our fahsa had so much fat I and it was soooooo greasy I had to scoop the fat out. I was fishing the bowl for meat but was getting fat and onion chunks. Also they put so much turmeric in the maraq my fingers was stained yellow. I had to wash it off four times but my fingers were still yellow. They don’t serve salad with the meal . Y’all wanna want to charge a lot but a want to be very cheap with the meat. I’ve ate in a lot of Yemeni restaurants and I have never seen fahsah made with chunks of fat like this, and they don’t even serve a small salad...
Read moreI came to this restaurant with my family, I had an amazing Goat Mandi, the rice on the Zurbain was better though.
I had a great experience here until some random customer stood up and told my family to shut up and that we were being too loud. Considering the area I completely understand that it's potentially not the best crowd in this area but it was a very uncomfortable experience for myself and my family to hear this person just be blatantly rude to us. We had done nothing wrong at all, just enjoying our dinner together. He took his food to go and left the establishment after mouthing off a couple more things to our family.
I'm taking a star off since the people that work here didn't ask this rude person to leave.
The cashier and a couple of the people that were dining into the restaurant told us we were not being loud at all and that he was just looking for problems. Very peculiar experience personally, otherwise the food was amazing and would definitely...
