Very stingy with the amount of food they serve. I asked for chicken wings and rice, and an extra side of fries. The guy at the counter was like "Yoo can no have both rice and fry. Yoo can only get the rice or the fry." So I took it as if the business can only charge the amount listed, and selling me an extra side of fries - which I was more than willing to pay for - is not something their business care to do with me. I wasn't even looking for a bargain, though. I asked "How much for some extra fries, then?" I felt like I was being denied an option here. Conversely, he was denying their business an opportunity to make a little extra dollar and some change? Or did he assume that I am asking for a bargain like everyone else? Or because of my ethnicity? Sure, it is undeniable that this establishment is cleverly located to market to a certain particular demographic, fried chicken addicts that are genetically predisposed to everything there is to love about fried chicken. In turn, this cashier has to act tough and hard, or authoritative. I get that! The fast food place is already cheap, I'd give that guy behind the counter money because I pity those who work for a business with a frontline employee dealing directly with customers. If this business is not en route to success fast enough or dominating the competition around them, this cashier is dragging this business down and backwards. This is why I would rather spend more at Popeye's or Church's, even Timmy Chan's!!! Because when I go there, and I ask for something extra, they tell me how much more, and I decide. They don't deny me of that extra jalapeno pepper, or the Cajun Sparkle, which I am addicted to using either direct oral ingestion. If Timmy Chan's charged me 0.10¢ for a packet of salt, I'd gladly give more that a dime like I'm investing in stocks. There are more chicken and rice places in that area. I would rather go to any of the other places and will avoid going to this place...
Read moreI’ve been going to this restaurant for quite a while, I love the lemon pepper wings with rice, I noticed they have a new manager, is not the other one anymore I believe his name was Ben, I liked the way he made the wings, back then they used another chicken and then change it, even when they change the chicken they were still delicious.I went 2 days ago for the same thing, the lemon pepper wings and rice, but this time they were over cooked and they were so dry that I could hardly chew them, I had to put ranch sauce so they can get a little soggy, I understand the new manager just took over, but he can do better, this is my favorite Chinese restaurant, it’s been there for years since I was little probably since when my dad first came to Houston in the late 80s, I lived in the blocks right...
Read moreSuper chicken saved my marriage! This was the first time I ever went to this establishment, and I have to admit the food was fantastic. My intention was to get the chicken to go, but when I arrived, the service was so exceptional I asked my wife if she wanted to stay. While we were there, there were mariachis. The mariachi band happened to play the same song that me and my wife got married to, I recommend anyone reading this to eat super chicken and rice five star all the way. The staff treated me as a castilian caballero. The super chicken had an incredible blend of herbs and spices and while I don’t know what the exact mix was, Super Chicken and Rice definitely gave me super powers and drive that night on what I consider our new anniversary. My wife said I was faster than a...
