This bubble tea shop has so many options--it's honestly a little overwhelming at first! Thankfully, the staff were incredibly friendly and patient. One team member kindly explained the drinks I was curious about and even gave me a recommendation, which I really appreciated--and it was spot on! I went with the Hawaii Sunset fruit tea at 50% sugar. Just a heads-up: their fruit teas lean more on the fruit-forward side than actual tea, and mine was definitely on the sweeter end of the spectrum--likely from the syrup in the mango popping boba. Even at half sugar, it was pretty sweet. I also noticed a couple of things that could've made the drink better: some lemon seeds were left in, and the smaller bits of mango weren't fully ripe, which made the texture a bit off. That said, the staff's kindness and the wide variety of drinks make me want to come back and try other options! I'm especially interested in their Saigon street food menu and those adorable kitty paw-shaped mochi waffles. The shop itself is small with limited seating, so I'd recommend grabbing your drinks to-go unless you're staying for a bite. Bonus points for being located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking--no stress finding a spot!

We have been to The Bêp plenty but first time at this location. After 20 mins of waiting, we got our food but was missing the buttered corn. We informed the staff of the missing item and they argued it's in there. We had to open each box to show them physically that in fact, it's not there. Then they said sorry it will be a few more minutes. We checked in with them after 10-15 minutes and they said sorry it will be a little longer. Another 15 minutes went by and we went to check and apparently our food was ready for a while but didn't even bother to tell us. When we got home, there were 2 rice paper rolls and 1 banh mì in our bag instead of 1 banh mì, 1 rice paper rolls, and 1 buttered corn. The peach tea was also not as good as the other Bêp locations by a long shot. So they took 50+ mins to do an order that should take 10 - 15 mins and still managed to screw up the order twice and even the peach tea not up to par to other locations? We ain't coming back and recommend you steer clear as well 🤮 one hell of a vibe-killer

Let me preface that my mom truly loves The Bep and everything that they offer.

However, after our last encounter, it was the last straw that broke the camel's back. While I do understand the supply and demand of to go boxes, and things costing the establishment, they nickel and dime customers every chance they get. My mom spends a LOT of money at The Bep and supports this business both this location and the beltway location.

They had a new item that she was curious about, and just as she was about to purchase it, in addition to her $50 bill, she asks for a to go box so that her and I can share for the car ride back home. One of the ladies came to the cash register and told my mom, "that will be 50 cents". My mom looks up and looks at me with such shock and stated "50 cents??? You're kidding. I'm purchasing a lot of things and you're charging me 50 cents for a to go box????"

She buys boxes of baos, packaged refrigerated drinks, snacks, to even boba. Her most favorite things are the boxes of baos and packaged drinks.

And when I tell you, they are going at it back and forth over 50 cents, it just wasn't worth the headache.

I intervene and stop the conversation and tell both people to stop. We don't need it. Then my mom proceeds to say "don't bother tipping".

As we pay, the woman that argued with my mom, decides AFTER THE FACT, to give her the small cardboard Togo box. And my mom gives her the hand and says no. Sassy....

When moms are involved, don't test her. It's not worth the breath. At that point, it's just safe to say that we won't have to return to the Bellaire location.

But as customer service goes, it went from great to bad.

Mama T's fav location is no longer a fav. sad face

Update Response to Owner Please go back to the cameras as the woman my mom was arguing with was not new. I urge you to watch. Sunday January 5 around 12:30 PM. I dare you. The woman my mom is standing directly in front of is clearly not new and she woman I’m standing in front of is just awkwardly standing who does look new. To argue over 50 cents is embarrassing for your staff especially when you bulk order cardboard Togo boxes. The woman that clearly came up was not new, and knew exactly what she was saying and confidently spoke. If she was “new” someone should have stepped up and said something otherwise. Except I had to stop the conversation between both people and your staff was annoyed and my mom was annoyed. It stopped being 50 cents when it became arguing. If you wanted us to come back, you could have made it right. Over a cardboard Togo box...
