My Baguettes — Restaurant in Houston

I ordered the banh mi with shredded chicken and requested it with a fried egg. When the order came they served the egg to my wife's order except mine. Which was okay, my wife simply gave me her egg since she did not order hers with a fried egg. The canned Ginger Ale that I got from their fridge were all dirty on the top with some type of dark droplets of some type of mystery stain, but no problem. I simply grabbed a napkin cleaned it off (since I couldn't find another clean Ginger Ale can) and used a straw.

The main reason why I'm giving it a 1 star is that it had some type of paté which almost made me gag. My wife tried to eat some of it as well but we both couldn't finish it. I barely took 2 bites and it was game over for me. My wife in the other is a champ and was able to stomach almost half of the banh mi. Ultimately we left without our unfinished meals. This is the best banh mi shop in the city. It is my absolute favorite.

The baguette is delicious and just the right amount of crusty. The meats are phenomenal, especially the roasted pork belly, meatballs, and grilled pork. The dac biet is my go-to banh mi on the menu. And you can't go wrong if you add an egg to anything.

My favorite item on the menu however is their homemade pate. Half a pound loads up a lot of baguettes and I can eat the rest at home with crackers and whatever else I want.

This place is a staple now for me. If I'm getting banh mi, they are from here. If they are closed or out of baguettes, I'm not having banh mi. It's that simple because...

First I have to start by saying this establishment is family owned which to me is a big plus. I would rather support a family's business over a chain any day .

I went on for the the first time today and was warmly greeted with smiling faces . I ordered the special of get 5 bang mi get one free to go. My son was so excited he ate his on the way home . The bread is perfectly crisp and the veggies and meat taste very fresh .

Oh.. and I cant forget... try the corn milk. It's amazing. It has a Sweet and fresh corn flavor which is quite refreshing.
