A Smokin' Good Time at The Pit Room - Houston's BBQ Haven

If you're looking for some truly exceptional BBQ in Houston, look no further than The Pit Room. This no-frills joint offers up mouthwatering, smoky goodness that you won't want to miss.

From the moment I walked in, the heavenly aroma of smoked meats wafted through the air, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The rustic, casual atmosphere perfectly complements the down-to-earth menu, allowing the focus to remain on the food.

At The Pit Room, the meats are the stars, and they shine brightly. The brisket was tender and juicy, with a well-seasoned bark that added a delightful crunch. The pork ribs were equally impressive, boasting a perfect balance of smokiness and flavor that had me savoring every last bite. Not to be overlooked, the house-made sausage was a flavorful surprise that I would gladly order again.

The sides were also noteworthy, with the classic coleslaw and tangy, slightly sweet baked beans providing the perfect accompaniment to the meaty main dishes. The mac 'n cheese, with its creamy, velvety texture, was another standout. And let's not forget the homemade pickles and jalapeños, which added a refreshing, tangy kick to the meal.

The service at The Pit Room was warm and friendly, with knowledgeable staff who were happy to guide me through the menu and make recommendations based on my preferences. Despite the popularity of the place, I found the wait times to be reasonable, and my order was served promptly.

In conclusion, The Pit Room is a must-visit for any BBQ aficionado in Houston. With its mouthwatering meats, tasty sides, and welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder this spot has become a local favorite. Don't miss out on the chance to experience some of the best BBQ that Houston...

I love this bar! It's so relaxed, and a great way to unwind after a long day or week. The patio is great and I definitely prefer sitting outside (if you're lucky and it's not to humid out)! They offer a wide variety of beers on tap, including many Houston brews. They also always have free koozies at the bar which is kind of a nice touch and something you don't see so often!

The last time I went, our waitress was great! We told her how much we enjoy the bar and she even went and got us t shirts for free! We were thrilled and I've definitely worn mine quite a few times.

I would have to say my favorite part about coming here is the ladies restroom...... if you've been, you know what I'm talking about. They have some of the funniest meme pictures on the wall and continue to add more each time I come. I always feel awkward when I tell my group I'm going to the restroom and don't come out for 15 minutes...... it's really because I've been standing in the restroom cracking up with about 3 other women reading the memes. It is definitely a...

Bald white Bartender overcharges and pockets ur cash difference

Went for the first time with a friend. Im a USMC disabled Veteran. I was paying cash and my friend was using his credit card. After hours of being there I noticed that my friend was paying less than I was (by almost $2-$3/drink). Him and I had been ordering from the same bald bartender guy. I took my friend's receipt to the bald white Bartender and asked how my friend was paying less than I was for the same drink. The bartender asked if I was really going to complain about a few bucks. Then I rudely said, "This isn't my first drink I've ordered ass#$@. You've been ripping me off the entire night." Then he tried to convince me that sales tax was the difference. Nice try but, tax on a $5 drink isn't $3 in any state in this country. So needless to say I won't be returning here. Just think of how much cash that deusche bag steals for overcharging people who pay cash. Seeing trash like this after serving my country infuriates me to no end. ...

I'll start with the negative. Place is super inconsistent. They only have one cook and when he is on vacation they don't serve food. The food is great so it's a major disappointment that you can't count on someone being there to cook it. Evidently they don't serve food on Monday, Tuesday or Friday, however when you show up on the days they do "serve food" and the only cook is not there then your SOL. Also why is this place always out of mixers? Diet coke? For weeks? Very Very Very lazy. Also the day bar staff on the weekends is just ok. One bartender makes you feel like you're on her time even when it's slow. Doesn't want to change a tv channel either. The menu at the Patio is absolutely great. The grilled wings are cooked over charcoal and wood and taste amazing. Across the board the menu stands out from other patio bars, by far. I just wish they could get their ducks In a row here.

I happened to be visiting the area and wanted to try some Texas Beef Brisket. That's what everyone talks about so I asked around and was recommended by two separate people (hotel rep and Uber driver) to try this place for the brisket. I gotta say, the brisket was something like I never tried before. The way that it's cooked is by far the tastiest brisket I've ever eaten. The Mac and cheese was ok but the greens were different (a good different). This place is also connected to a bar in which you utilize to eat your meal. All in all, I would recommend this place if you want some really good beef brisket.

Newer management in the form of the owners of the adjacent, acclaimed The Pit Room Barbecue Restaurant. They have revamped most things here starting with the attitude they approach their customers with to the actual deck itself, with a major expansion. Unlike before; service is friendly, accommodating and attentive. Beer selection has broadened from the majority of Abita products to a balance of local breweries as well as some great national ones. So grab yourself some outstanding BBQ from next door and sip down a cold one, or several, with your ribs and brisket. Stay awhile and enjoy the atmosphere.
