We were in Houston visiting family, and my mother in law recommended coming here and it was a hit. My husband and I are still talking the flavors and the birria.
Everything was great! Our server Victor was great very helpful, patient, and attentive. Cool guy.
Chips and salsa were served to begin with, we asked for other salsas and were brought out two others; red and green both were good complement the meal. There are so many things to order from the menu, I would have like to try everything; but in our opinion the prices were pricy. For my honey’s tacos dorados the plate alone was $16.99 for three tacos (decent size tacos) no other side with it.
Before our food arrived our server also brought out small cups of chickpeas with consume 👌 delicious. The food was delicious with lots of flavor. What I ordered was so good and flavorful. I ordered the Sopecitos plate (quantity 4) my choice of meats were 2 Birria de chivo (goat) and 2 beef fajita, the birria was delicious and full of flavor (which I have had birria before at other restaurants and were nothing great or like the birria here.) I liked that you can choose more than one meat with no extra charge. My honey ordered the mini tacos with pastor and the tacos dorados with birria de rez (beef), his favorite were the tacos dorados, with the chiles toreados (roasted). My mother in law ordered tacos verdes with birria de chivo, and a caldo Veracruz she really liked both. We ordered the jumbo quesadilla with beef fajita for the kids it was big enough for them to shared the plate, came with a plate of cilantro, onions, and limes, I think it was basic.
The atmosphere is chill, the vibe is as if you’re in a Mexican restaurant in Mexico. The music was not blasting loud it was a perfect volume where you can still think and hear your the person next to you, and Kid friendly. The weather was decent so we chose to sit in the outdoor patio, which consisted of picnic table seating. They had bar style sitting out there also with swings which our kids liked while we waited for our food to arrive.
There is little to no parking in the main parking lot. We were blessed, we got a spot in the main lot. (We went around 9pm.)
Over all everything was great; what helped the negatives (prices) was the flavor and the quality of the food. Now and days there are not many restaurants that have great quality and flavor in their food, but this place did. The star of the show was the birria as of now. We recommend this place and when we are back in Houston we will...
Read moreWe ordered the large platter with soup, 8 tacos (4 green and 4 regular), a large quesadilla, torta, and a big long green taco. Drinks, lemonaid, fresh watermelon water, and horchata.
The soup has a good starting flavor but ours had this mint aftertaste. It was off putting and made it taste strange when you continued to eat. Could have been a mistake or how they do it, regardless of the matter, soup not bad. Tacos had wonderful flavor and were crunchy and cheesy. Very good. Quesadilla was soggy and really greasy. All the toppings were on half the meal so people who don't like onions or cilantro might have to pick off a lot of it from the top. Flavor of the overall dish was good. Torta was disappointing. Super soggy. Ive had torta's like this from other places that were left on a griddle a lil long has this amazing crunch still. This place seems to just cut it open, soak it for way too long, put the toppings on the bread, and serve it. If you don't like soggy bread, please avoid this. My mom order the long green taco, she ate half herself. Im sure its the same as the small ones, so must have been pretty good.
Now for the drinks. Each of the main drinks cost 10 dollars. They come in a large pitch. I wouldn't have been mad about the price if my drinks tasted slightly better. The lemonaid i got was mostly watery. It had a lemon and sugar taste, but not enough to call it lemonaid. Watermelon water was very refreshing, and my sister refused to share her horchata so i can't tell if it was from a mix or fresh sadly.
Overall, for the price and taste of things. I think this place is great if your coming with a group of people. You can easily share some of the menu with a party of people and even drinks with your ladies or between yourselfs if you don't drink so much. They have different kinds of meats, we only got all beef cause myself i refuse to eat lamb and my mom thinks goat meat smells funny.
We spent well over 200 (including tip...

The taste was unbeatable, making it clear that great care and skill go into every meal prepared here. We started with some delicious appetizers, and each bite was a testament to the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
The drinks were a highlight as well. The Aguas Frescas were incredibly refreshing, especially on a nice, sunny day. These vibrant, natural drinks were the perfect complement to our meal.
Another standout was the Atol de Horchata, a hot drink that felt like a comforting taste of home. It had just the right amount of sweetness and a wonderfully creamy texture that made it a soothing treat.
