I wasted 50 minutes waiting for their banh mi. I called at 3:45 P.M. which was 15 minutes ahead before coming to pick up 4 banh mi for to go. In was told by the guy employee (who wore glasses) on the phone that they ran out of banh mi and had to wait for 30 minutes for it to be done. I was okay with waiting for 30 minutes because it would take me around 10-15 minutes to get there and I would only be waiting an extra 15 minutes in store until it would be done. I came expecting for the banh mi to be done around 4:15 P.M.-4:20 P.M.. HOWEVER, I didn’t get my banh mi until 4:40 which was almost an hour since the time I called and about 20-30 minutes extra of waiting around. Time is precious and valuable. I was okay with waiting for 30 minutes which was already long, but instead I’ve waited for almost an hour. They did compensate by giving me one extra empty bread which doesn’t even justify the 20 extra minutes. The guy employee needs to set REALISTIC TIME so the customer knows to either agree to wait or not. The employee knows better than the customer if how long it’ll take for the bread to bake and maybe set an extra 5 minutes for the customer to expect that’ll be how long it’ll take for it to be done. It’s DECEIT when you tell a customer it’ll be done in 30 minutes but ends up being almost an hour. I would have not waited for almost an hour to get banh mi and would have consider other restaurant options. The guy employee didn’t even apologize and just kind of hid behind the counter. The food is good but VERY DISAPPOINTED AND it’s DISRESPECTFUL towards the...
Read moreA few months ago, I saw this place while driving around in Alief. Today, I thought I would give it a try as I had a craving for banh mi. Although there are plenty of banh mi places in Alief, I didn't find them that good. Today, I went into the restaurant and ordered a banh mi to go. The restaurant was busy, although sometimes when I drive around the area, I never noticed this many cars in the parking lot. I walked up to the counter and ordered a grilled pork banh mi. I waited 7-10 minutes for them to prepare. By the time I got home to eat it, it was still warm. There was plenty of meat in the sandwich and enough pickled daikon/carrots. There were julienned jalapeño pieces in there to give it a little kick. They used a sweet mayo sauce with a little kick in the sandwich also. The banh mi was delicious and I wanted another one after finishing it. Sadly to say, I only bought one this time. They also have other dishes that I thought I would try next time. I finally found a place that has good banh mi. (The other places I like are Nguyen Ngo and Khang Vietnamese...
Read moreI am revising my review after my 4th visit- The waiters and food are great, but I don't respect the lady at the register. I asked if she was the owner but she denied but I wouldnt be surprised if she was. She rang me up for 3 coffees with a smile when I ordered 2, then decided to short change me $60 when I gave her $100 while placing a to go order. When I confronted her, she said she was looking for me when she noticed her draw had an additional $60. Remind you, I was sitting there waiting for my sandwiches and my coffee 4 foot away. She apologized when I called her out a few minutes later, but I have a feeling she has done and have gotten away with this before. What a shame and terrible way of...
