Wael's Mediterranean Cuisine — Restaurant in Houston

Update: they moved to a new location in the same strip center abt a yr ago. They are only a few doors down to the right from the old spot. It’s just beautiful and larger but has a private feel. They also have outdoor dining now to. The dining experience is just as great and still the best Lebanese food! I would give a higher rating if there was one.

This is the BEST Lebanese food in Houston. I have been to several restaurants and they do not have authentic flavors in the foods from Lebanon that I grew up on. One trip here and I keep coming back! Lebanese food is my favorite & I tend to be a critic. This is like being a child again in my grandmother's kitchen. I love the Koosa which you have to catch on the daily specials and the Lamb Shank and noodles. When these aren't on the daily specials I lean more towards the Kibbe and dolmas as a meal even though they are appetizers. I have tried several items on the menu and will say I like them all! The service has always been great and the owner always takes time to interact with his customers which gives it more of a personal feel. I prefer mom and pop restaurants because of the personal feel instead of the large chain restaurants. I feel like a part of the family when I go there. So it's a win win! I highly...

I am a Waitress at Wael's Mediterranean Cuisine and i noticed a reviewfrom Andrea that is completely untrue. First of all we do not have any men waitstaff in our restaraunt. There are 2 female waitresses and 1 owner and 1 cook. Our cook is not able to leave the kitchen area at all to do any type of transactions or otherwise. Our cook is very clean and aways sanitzes his hands before the use of gloves and between. He would have NEVER done anything as unhygenic as the claim states. We have cameras all over and something of that nature would have had him terminated and he is very aware of this. We have many many regulars that come to dine with us and they are of high stature who would not accept any of our products being spoiled or anything to that nature. We are always complimented on our food and service as being awesome. Im not sure why you would want to try to slander our name but you must have us confused with another business or you are just being outright ugly for no reason. I truly wish I could give this restaurant more than five stars. Starting with the staff... everyone (owner included) were polite & genuinely interested in how our experience was. Helpful without being awkwardly overbearing. Their mint lemonade is super light and refreshing. The fried cauliflower is seriously addicting! It came with a bowl of garlic sauce. We also ordered the tzatziki which was both garlicky and creamy. It was accompanied by a bowl of warm, fresh pita bread triangles. My wife ordered the Chicken Tawook kabob plate (included a delicious Greek Salad). The chicken was tender and packed with so many flavors. The rice was cooked to perfection. I opted for the Penne Pasta ala Chicken in Alfredo sauce. I thought this would be a risky choice but not was I glad I made it. This was some of the BEST Alfredo sauce I've had! If you've ever had the pleasure of having the Alfredo from Cavatore, you would absolutely love this.
