Hot Sake Sushi Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Howard

I've been to this restaurant 3 times now, it has become my favorite restaurant in Green Bay! The sushi is fantastic, the fish quality is amazing. The fish is delivered in small quantities twice a week, and it shows because the flavor is so fresh and good. The fish doesn't taste fishy at all, just really good; I highly recommend the hamachi. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and comfortable; there's great lighting, a bar area, a sushi bar area, and two dining areas with booths. The staff is friendly and you can tell that the owner really cares about the quality and experience of the guests. The owner was telling me that he spent many years on the East Coast learning how to make sushi and has taken his knowledge to Green Bay to start this restaurant. I'm glad they did! Wow! I didn't expect to love this place as much as I do! I've been burned by pay-by-the-roll places before where it's expensive and I don't leave full. I still wanted to try Hot Sake because they're a local business for me. While the prices are on par with other places, the amount of food, the taste, and the presentation blow those other restaurants out of the water. I was only there for a quick lunch, but I highly recommend the Hot Sake roll!

The staff was very friendly with the right amount of service. I'm pretty sure the owner was there too, asking how our experience was. He was so friendly and wanted us to have a good meal.

My husband and I had reservations at another local restaurant, which were cancelled last minute by the restaurant due to overbooking for Valentine’s Day. We decided to check out Hot Sake instead.

Although the restaurant was very busy, we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was very nice - upscale casual. Place was clean, lighting was appropriate, decor fit the theme.

Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our food arrived quickly, and our sushi rolls had excellent combinations of flavors. Price was in line with what we expect from a decent sushi place.
