I brought my wedding ring in to have a small repair done and it appears the repair was done well. That's the good part of my experience. The rest of my experience was terrible.
First, when bringing my ring in for a repair estimate what should have, and could have been a 10 minute interaction AT MOST, was turned into a 25 minute interaction as their sales person worked at gathering informaton so they could have me on their mailing list for future sales. My phone number and name was really all they needed. I'm could even go as far as a secondary number JUST in case. But my birthday, anniversary, husband's birthday - my email, spouses email - etc. Really guys? I knew what you were doing and it was annoying.
Then after going with the less expensive estimate (by over $1000 for additional work) the second sales person shows me some blingy stone and says something to the effect of "Ever wondered what a 3 carat cusion cut diamond looks like?" And proceeds to show me some stones in different shapes. C'mon - I just chose not to spend an additional $1000 on some optional work on my ring. You really think I'm the one to show a 3 carat diamond to?
But enough about that. I was annoyed and inconvenienced, but I was trying to be pleasant and didn't want to tell them I had better things to do. I leave my ring and go back to get it today. I had already decided I wouldn't return after their little "Clever dance for info", but hadn't planned on leaving a review.
Today though - that's a different story. I get a message as I'm leaving work that my ring is ready. I have enough time to make it there before 5:00 and they don't close until 5:30. I go in, hand my ticket to one of the sales people and wait a solid 15 minutes. I'm watching them behind the counter coming back and forth, another person comes out, goes to the back, etc. FIFTEEN minutes later the sales person comes out with my ring and says "Sorry it took so long - we were running around looking for your ring like chickens with our heads cut off and it ended up being right in front of us" - I took the ring and left. But ARE YOU SERIOUS? I realize my little 1/4 carat diamond is nothing to you and your 3 carat diamonds. But ya know what - it's the world to me! It's the ring my then college aged boyfriend worked summers to afford by throwing hay BY HAND for a local farmer. Hours of lawn mowing and weeding neighbors yards went into being able to afford that ring 43 years ago and it was chosen with care and love . That ring is precious beyond words, and YOU WERE CARELESS WITH IT! How could you be so thoughtless?
One last thing just because I'm annoyed. I've had this ring at numerous jewelers through the years. Every single jeweler I took it to has commented on the incredible quality of this diamond. It's nearly flawless and the cut and clarity are as close to perfect as you can get. Not one of your sales people said a word. Not ONE SINGLE WORD. Take a hint guys, all women like to hear that their diamond is lovely. And guess what, it is a lovely diamond and a beautiful setting. And you, Feldsteins Jewelers will never be trusted...
Read moreI meant to post this a while But Never. Lol…
Anyways, a couple months ago I went to Feldstein’s for the first time because I heard on the radio and my local area a few of the commercials as I had for the past every since I can remember lol!… I’ve also seen their sign when I drive by it and almost a daily basis, and for some reason, I’ve never decided to go in and check it out but I’m glad I did finally…
When I walked in, it just felt different than any other jewelry store that I’ve ever been in. It was very clean very professional. You can tell that they know what they’re doing there. Everyone was dressed to the nines, very professional and friendly. Everyone had a smile on, and didn’t make me feel like a stranger even though, I was in pajamas/sweatpants and flip-flops with a hunting hat on because I was on my way to work as a welder I change at work… Anyways, as you can see from the pictures, I got my site on their roses that they were running a campaign on for Valentine’s Day And I had to get one for my girlfriend and maybe even for myself lol I mean who doesn’t want a gold dipped rose that just sounds cool. The person who ended up helping me was the owner son, who by the way, looks exactly like him, and gave me the most , amazing experience that I’ve ever had shopping for anything anywhere I would say not just jewelry. He showed me around the show showed me everything that they got, and he even took me in the back and showed me how they make the jewelry their oven cast their welding equipment Even showed me the raw gold material that they use for their inventory. Believe me when I tell you words don’t do it justice when I say I had an amazing experience. Honestly, I could’ve spent an hour or two just picking his brain on the whole industry process, etc. to be honest, I wish I could Get a job there that would be one of the coolest jobs in the world in my opinion.
He showed me where he started off, working in the back, making the jewelry and showed me each job that he worked all the way to working himself to working on the showcase floor doing sales, and when he went to finally check me out when I was on my way to leave while he was running my card he let me hold the biggest diamond I’ve ever seen in my life I was in awe the fact that he only trusted me with it but was open minded enough to let me hold it and sit there and Drool over it… Let me tell you with all that stuff aside all the material things that he showed me in the tour even if he didn’t show me all that stuff and I didn’t experience that the way he treated me as I was already one of his friends made me a guaranteed future customer for life I promise you you will not regret buying from these guys their attitude alone is worth a visit
And if anybody from Feldstein is reading this, I thank you again, and I will return I promise you that…
Fun fact, I found out through talking to him that I live literally right down the road from his parents/the owner.
Another fun fact I learned is that they have owned this business for over 100 years so needless to say...
Read moreWhen I proposed to my wife, I knew it had to be a day we both would never forget. The location and setting had to be special, but I knew I had to find the ring that would sweep her off her feet. Having a prior relationship with Feldsteins, I decided to go with them to design a ring that would be one of a kind. I worked with Julie Francois who helped me through the design process. Julie did an incredible job guiding me through various design ideas. We went through a few renderings together and then I finally found the ring that I knew my wife would love. My mother had passed down my great grandmother's ring to me, so we used it to create a modern rendition that was both chic and classy. After a couple weeks, the ring was made and ready to be picked up in Marinette. Julie personally met with me to show me the ring and hand it off.
Come the day of the proposal, my wife absolutely adored the ring! The ring was just a little too loose, so we drove up to Feldsteins of Green Bay to get it resized. We were running late and the store was going to close, but the staff stayed past close to help us out. When we arrived there, Julie's son Mitch assisted us right away and was able to get the ring resized. On top of that, Mitch showed my wife and I a variety of wedding bands to consider. Before walking out, I decided to pull the trigger on getting my wedding band. Mitch helped me customize and order the ring in the store, then I picked it up a month later. The ring was absolutely perfect!
Long story short, I highly recommend going through Feldsteins for any special occasion. Their personal and genuine touch to the entire process made it very easy, seamless, and efficient. My wife and I were extremely pleased with our experience and we are so grateful for the diligent work and care that was put into designing a ring that will hopefully be passed down to future generations. I would like to thank the Feldsteins crew again for going above and beyond and for making our special day...
