We won't be going back. My son, his wife, and I went there for a Mother’s Day dinner. The website looked good, the menu prices reasonable, the reviews very good. We had decided ahead of time what to order.
While there are tables, they are bare — no condiments, no napkin dispenser, no hot sauce, nothing. There is also no water service — you have to buy bottled water or soda, which we declined to do.
I was ordering Mu Shi Pork as an appetizer to be shared, when I was informed that the restaurant didn’t make pancakes! They just put the food on a plate with rice. Pretty hard to slather on hoisin sauce and eat it with our fingers. The lady ordered 3 egg rolls instead.
When the food came, the egg rolls were the size of my thumb — 2 bites — for $1.49 each. Very little taste.
I ordered Szechuan Beef, $10.99, according to the website menu. It looked and tasted good, but had very little hot in it. The portion was small compared to every other Chinese restaurant outside Green Bay that I’ve been in. The fried rice came in a bowl the size of a coffee cup.
My son ordered Szechuan Chicken, $9.99. He said the chicken was rubbery with not much flavor, and a similar portion size.
His wife ordered Lo Mein and ate it all. $8.99
We weren’t given an itemized receipt, just a total of $49.17, with a $1 "convenience fee" for using a credit card. Something doesn’t add up, as $4.50 + $11 + 10 + $9 = $34.50. Apparently, the online menu prices are no longer valid, so don’t believe them and expect to get an inexpensive meal. We spent $60 with tax and tip, and all left a little hungry.
Hardly anything went right for an eat-in dinner, hence 2 stars. Would have been one star, but the...
Read moreWhat's all the rave about? I like to read reviews before going to a new place and saw there were mostly good reviews for panda house so i chose to come to this place. I get here with the plans of eating in and a lady that works there walks by and greets us and kept walking by. No mention of "someone will be right with you" or anything. I wait and then a young man comes up and I ask if we can sit. He said you order and then you can sit all while looking at the register and not making eye contact. I ordered chicken low mein (he never asked if I wanted the big or small order but the portion makes me feel it was a large) and then I ordered c11 which is the orange chicken with fried rice and egg roll. The egg roll was nasty and the fried rice tasted burnt. The lo mein was not great either. They never asked if I needed any sauce or if I was enjoying my food. I had to get up and grab the soy sauce packets and they gave me sriracha in a cup. The bathroom was messy. As I was walking out none of the workers said bye or have a nice day. Not a good experience. Asian Wok in green bay although a smaller location is a much better all...
Read moreBad experience, ordered cashew chicken. Cost $6.50 for a PINT, what I got was 60% broccoli stem cubes (no florets), 25% breaded chicken, 15% baby corn/water chestnuts, all in the suspiciously same sauce my wife's 'beef and broccoli' came in. And no cashews. None. I'm hardly a fine connoisseur of American Chinese food, but I'm pretty sure broccoli stems and brown sauce ain't 'cashew chicken'. Poorly priced, not well prepared, and just WRONGLY prepared just isn't worth it. The young man who accurately repeated our order, greeted us by name when we returned to pick up the order saved it...
