SORRENTINO'S II — Restaurant in Howell Township

Plenty on site parking. This cozy little corner restaurant is a place I will be going back to. Went at noon on a Sunday with 5 people. Place was busy. Young ladies at thr front were very welcoming. I explained we were waiting on 2 people and she said she would get a table together within 10-15 minutes. She had one in 10, and let 3 of us sit while we waited for the other 2. Waitresses are so so nice and attentive, not over the top. Always smiling. We ordered the corned beef hash and eggs--my husband loved it, said hashbriwns and corned beef were awesome-hes picky, I had the Nutella pancakes with strawberries and bananas--get both, I didn't regret it. Thr pancakes were 3 stack, decent size, a little fluffy, just enough fruit and Nutella with a side of syrup--rhey were really good 👍, a friend had rhe elvis and the other 2 had burgers--all were satisfied with their selections. They take cash or credit. Prices are reasonable. The place is cute inside, tables spaced out well. They also had some hot cocoa bombs for sale, my husband bought a few--we're trying those later. I'm updating this review because I walked out today 8/2/24. Understand, I say this with the understanding that the food is still amazing and I still love this restaurant. But after sitting at a table for 15 minutes without being given a menu, or having anyone take even my drink order, let alone my food order, I had to walk out. I'm writing this from another restaurant. The waitress was running around serving every table, cleaning and doing everything. To be clear, I'm not upset at her. She is clearly overworked and without any assistance from other staff or management. I'll come back and try again (not on a Friday), but I'm not thrilled with my experience today.

Amazing. I've had the homemade corned beef hash, the irish omelette (which has the corned beef inside), and the breakfast bowl. We won’t be back soon, especially not with our young kids.

We waited for a table for over 20 minutes even though there were a few open, slowly being cleared with no one in front of us. Not one staff member even looked at us or acknowledged us the whole time, even with a line building behind us. The table we eventually got was open from the time we arrived.

Service was slow. Drinks took 15 minutes after we ordered (food and drink at the same time). Food took another 15. There were 6 of us and we all got breakfast food. The food was fine, but it was nothing special.

Also, a personal peeve, I was charged $2.50 for unsweetened iced tea (totally ok) but another $2.50 for a refill. Had to ask for it while asking for the check since the waitress was MIA.
