Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in Hudson Oaks

We've been wanting to try Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen for a while now, and I'm so glad I finally did! The food was delicious, the drinks were creative and tasty, and the restaurant design was classic contemporary and very nice inside.

I started my meal with the Honey Butter Croissants, which were warm and flaky, and the inside was filled with a sweet and buttery filling. For my main course, I had the crispy chicken salad, which was just made and flavorful. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were crisp. I added a cup of the potato soup and it was the perfect size to accompany the salad. The recipe for the soup was simple but so good!

For my drink, I had a beer and my wife had the Watermelon Texas Frozen Swirl, which is their signature Frozen Texas Margarita, featuring gold tequila and triple sec, swirled with watermelon purée and topped with fresh-cut watermelon. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tart, and it was the perfect way to cool off on a hot day.

Our waitress was very polite and attentive. She was always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed, and she was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.

Overall, I had a great experience at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. The food was delicious, the drinks were creative and tasty, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great...

First of all, the waitress was great! The food was ok. We got our drink and she took our order pretty quick. It was 1 hr and 22 mins from walking in the door until we got our food! My mother in law stressed that she couldn't have spice on her shrimp and pasta she ordered. It was spicy! My fries were cold. The waitress was very nice and helpful. She somewhat reacted as if she was scared to push the cooks for our food like they were giving her heck or something when we inquired about how much longer. Facts...the tables on all 3 sides of us got food...twice before we got ours. 2 different families came on all 3 tables. That was just a ridiculous experience overall that we've probably ever had. Then to top it off, we got the bill and everything was still on it even the spicy pasta that was sent back. We got it taken off. I'm just very surprised that a manager didn't come by and check on us. That's a shame! I know the restaurant is newly open and it takes a while to get the kinks out, but the Saturday night experience will never be forgotten. I've been in lots of new openings and never ever...

Vibe & Atmosphere

We arrived at a busy time and there were several people in the restaurant. This caused background noise from other tables. Conversations at our table was easy to understand.

Beer-Battered Shrimp Platter - Loaded with eight golden, crunchy, and savory shrimp, plus choice of two sides. The mashed potatoes and fresh, kernel corn were the perfect sides for me.

No. 8 Special: Chicken Tender Platter - Breaded chicken tenders, fried to perfection. Sides selected today were the mouthwatering loaded baked potato and a house salad, filled with fresh veggies

Service - We were seated very quickly. There was a short delay to order drinks. After that point, service was great.

Price & Value

The prices were in-line with the abundance of tasty and flavorful food.
