Chuy's — Restaurant in Hudson Oaks

We went in for Happy Hour, ordered two grande margaritas and the compuesto. Compuesto was awesome (only $5 on HH), cilantro cream dip for chips was awesome, the normal "salsa" was pretty good. Chips were hot and fresh. The waitress brought out the wrong size margaritas and tried to tell me that the small size was the only thing on happy hour until I showed her the menu....then she said, oops my fault and looked at me like we were going to keep the smaller margaritas....I asked her to fix her mistake and she did with an eye roll. The good news was there was a shift change at 1730 and we got a new waitress that was super friendly and really on the ball. Food was awesome, reasonably priced, rice and beans were very flavorful, chicken enchilada was well seasoned breast meat with an excellent chili verde sauce, and the chili relleno was likewise crispy and well cooked. This is the best Chuys we've eaten at....considering what Rio Mambo did to their menu (gutted it), the increase in their prices, the reduction of the alcohol in their margaritas, and the lower quality food, it's great to have an excellent Mexican food place near Weatherford again. Chuys will be our permanent...

We arrived around 710 tonight sat immediately which was great. One server took our order, I ordered a takeout plate with our dine in order. We never saw her again. A different server brought our queso we asked for more chips and another soda, a different girl brought the drink. Then 10 min later another different one with chips, two more with the food. One girl brought the check I asked for my takeout she smiled and walked away, then the one who brought the queso came and got the check I asked her for my takeout. Then another brought the bill with my card back, said thank you and have a good night. We sat waiting for another 10 minutes, couldn’t get anyone to come by they all looked but no one else came. We finally just left, the takeout was never on the bill, I am to assume the first one never ordered it. I am all for team work but please use communication, the food was good, but service was terrible. Overall we will not be returning, just going next door from now on. Good...

Today we are lunch here and Andy was out server. He was amazing! Friendly and on top of all the drink and chip refills! When our food came out, my enchilada was wrong. Andy immediately noticed this before I said anything and quickly started working on getting it corrected. The manager brought my corrected plate out and I started eating. It tasted amazing, as always. A few moments later, the manager returned with a fresh plate of what my husband order and said, "I noticed you waited til her food came out to eat, so I wanted to make sure you had a hot meal too." I didn't catch the managers name but both he and Andy were amazing! Thank your wonderful service! We'll definitely be back again! If you haven't been before, always ask for the free creamy jalapeno to dip chips in. It's so good. Several vegetarian options available. Kids meals available. Family friendly atmosphere. Covered patio seating...
