Harvard Sweet Boutique — Restaurant in Hudson

Very suprised by the lack of strawberries in & on the cake. I didn't expect it to be exactly like their photos online, but its a big difference. Website shows 9-10 berries on top, ours had TWO. Had almost none inside, just tiny diced pieces, some slices had none at all. Pic online also shows white chocolate flakes on top. Ours had 2 small milk chocolate pieces. See pics for comparisons. On top of that there was a 2" crack on the front of the cake! For a $70+ cake I expected more & I'm disappointed because it was my wife's 40th birthday cake. The cake itself was good & moist, cream was very light. Nice looking shop & super easy to order online.. so for that I give 2.5-3 stars. Our expectations were set based on the pictures online so we were disappointed vs. what we received, I have never seen a strawberry shortcake with so few strawberries. Idk if they had a bad day or what, but I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'll try...

I first encountered this business when friends sent me a package of delicious macadamia brownies several years ago after having surgery. Since that time I have ordered many gifts and have always been happy. My recepients have always raved about the quality of the packaging and delicious contents. I often send my college students care packages from Harvard Sweet Boutique and they are thrilled by the surprise. The one thing I would like HSB to improve is their website. It is difficult to send multiple gifts to different locations from the site without doing each order separately.

I have not been to the store in Hudson yet, but fully intend to spin by and try some of their baked goods. I think I am almost afraid to go - so many options - all too good to be true! Wonderful products, great quality. ...

This is a neighborhood GEM. Not only does it bail me out every time I need to mail order superb goodies, I can always count on a crowd pleaser in a pinch. They use craft-quality ingredients, service is out of bounds and their presentation is awesome. Croque en Bouche is an elegant table topper that just wow's with its presence AND its taste! Kids and adults LOVE to tear into it (special order, so call ahead) - a towering masterpiece of light cream puffs held together by spun sugar... Every year I order the yule log - the cake is so fluffy, and the butter cream and cream don't wear you down.
