Home Plate Diner — Restaurant in Hueytown

I go to Home Plate about 4 times a month, I have never understood his the Lady that checks you out keeps her JOB! She rude to me every time I am in there the Cashier is Rude to me, today she opens My Plates I was buying for my Mother and me, I was very upset, told her not to open our food with her hands handle money it's very unsanitire, money is nasty, the people that prepare your plates when you go through the line they have gloves on, Why because of sanitary reasons YES! I WILL NOT GO BACK IN THERE AND BE TREATED LIKE I AM STEALING FOOD! WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF WRITING WHAT'S IN YOUR PLATE ON THE BOX? SHE WILL NOT OPEN OUR FOOD ANY MORE BECAUSE THAT'S THE LAST TIME I WILL BE PURCHASING DINNERS FROM HOME...

1st time customer, food was good, the elderly African American server was very unprofessional he was telling me he could only give me a certain amount of food because the cashier will look in your to go order before you leave which was a lie, so he was very stingy with the portion amount for the beef tips and he was telling another employee that came on the line from the kitchen that he was tired of serving people, he wasn't customer friendly at all. However the food was good, seasoned just right the macaroni was a little burnt in some places but overall the food was good. Maybe next time I visit the elderly man...

Their's buffet line is always hot . There is always a friendly face ready to server you. There is like 4 difference meats at least, salads, jello, vegetables soup, green beans, corns, peas, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and more that I don't recall. Plus cornbread, rolls, and the BEST SWEET TEA AROUND!!!!. We eat their as often as possible, because it would be hard to find a healthy diet. Last VERY CLEAN...
