Daddy Beach Club: Not Tourist Friendly

My wife and I recently visited Daddy Beach Club after an event, hoping to grab some late-night pizza. Despite their advertised 1 AM closing time, we arrived at 10:05 PM only to be informed that the kitchen had already closed. So much for late-night dining!

While the bartender was friendly and attentive, the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming to outsiders. It was clear that the majority of the patrons were locals who knew each other and the staff well. This created a cliquey environment where we felt like outsiders.

To make matters worse, the bar manager singled out my wife, who was nursing her second drink, and confiscated her beverage without any explanation. While I understand the need to monitor alcohol consumption, we were far less intoxicated than many of the other patrons who seemed to be excessively overserved without any intervention from the staff.

This blatant favoritism and disregard for our patronage left a sour taste in our mouths. We closed our tab, tipped our bartender, and informed him of the incident. Although he apologized and offered us a drink to stay, the damage was done.

Daddy's Beach Club was the location both for my now husband's bachelor party AND our wedding after party two days later. Both evenings were so much fun! The food is great, typical bar food, and their pizza is quite tasty.

My husband's groomsmen booked a live band for him and had a great time rocking out. Daddy's was very accommodating and we experienced great service. One of our guests utilizes a wheelchair and the establishment is disability accessible. They had no trouble getting in, around, and out of the building.

Our wedding reception was at a nearby restaurant, and we called Daddy's a few months prior to book an after party. Because it was off season, they said to come on by and they'd just make sure to have the appropriate amount of staff for that day, saving us a lot of money.
