Mambo's is a casual restaurant located in Hull, Massachusetts, right on Nantasket Beach. The restaurant has a large outdoor deck with stunning views of the ocean, making it a great spot for a meal after (or during) a day at the beach.
The menu at Mambo's features a variety of American fare, with a focus on seafood. Some of the most popular dishes include any of their large selection of sandwiches, the lobster roll, and the grilled fish tacos. I had the Wild Turkey wrap and fries and liked both of them. The wrap was very filling and the fries had that crispy coating that makes them extra tasty. The restaurant also has a full bar, with a wide selection of beers, wines, and cocktails.
The service at Mambo's was friendly. My server was mostly attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. I wanted more sauce and after waiting a few minutes, I tracked down my server to request. That's when there were no other patrons, so be prepared for a wait.
Overall, Mambo's is a great option for a casual meal with stunning views. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere looks like it can get pretty lively. If you're looking for a fun and affordable place to eat in Hull, Mambo's is a...
Read moreAbsolutely thrilled to accidentally stumble upon a restaurant near the beach that was so eco-friendly, had ample vegetarian options and was downright delicious. Single page menus make picking your meal easy, while the reverse side is chock full of creative drinks. Having Beyond Burgers on a small restaurant menu was a HUGE perk, they even let me swap that patty onto their fiery burger. We were seated immediately on a late Saturday evening and our server (Gabrielle?) Was so bubbly and created a fun and exciting atmosphere.
Being that this is a new restaurant, I do also want to leave constructive criticism - I wish that the pickles and chips were homemade, or that the burgers and sandwiches were served with homemade fries instead. Cape cod chips are great, but I can get them anywhere. With a name like "fiery burger" I expected it to be a mouth burner. I have a high tolerance for spice but the sauce was more zesty than spicy, and the jalapeños were pickled. I'd either change the name or ramp up the spice.
All in all a fantastic experience and we'll 100% be returning again before the end of the summer! I truly hope the owner of Mambo's tweaks a few things here and there so they can stand the...
Read moreWe came over here close to labor day 2022, from escaping a beach front bar place had loud music speakers you couldn't escape (tipsy tuna?), and another w 45 min wait (pirate?)
Mambo has a generous roof top with cabana bar. Pizzas are made in wood brick oven and have gluten free option, and were tasty. The waitresses were all young, soft spoken, attentive, nice and friendly. The music was on electronic side and enjoyable volume you can speak over. No wait to get on deck and with quick food, turnover was easy. Crowd was late 20s (compared to late 40s at Tipsy tuna, where prices are double). Cocktail and beer were good, though they ran out of bud light and my pizza order was mistaken. The fries are awesome!
The cherry on top for us is that they seem to care about the food and the environment. Although the paper plates are inconvenient in the wind, we appreciated that they used thin paper or reusable metal trays and paper straws, yet it all felt classier than a...
