I didn't understand what the craze was all about until now! I am a huge fan of classic gummy bears, but this brings it to a whole different level. First off I love the nostalgia of a candy store by the beach. When I visited there were only older adults filling their candy bags! What a beautiful display of colorful gummy candies, some sumptuous looking handmade chocolates and fruity sodas in glass bottles. The store has a great vibe with the pastel colors. I filled a bag with a mix of various swedish gummies candies, some sweet, some salty and sweet, some with vanilla cream flavored centers, and some sour but not too sour. I can say I indulged soon as I got in my car and boy these candies were fantastic! Sitting in my car I watched a man in his 80s pull up in his mint green 1950s Chevy and come out eating from his bag! It's awesome to see this candy has caught on with all ages. I now get what the craze is all about. Fantastic little shop at my favorite beach ❤️ the prices are not cheap, but I think it's worth...

Maria makes the most silky smooth, luscious chocolate-covered, salted caramels and chocolate turtles (dark and milk chocolate) I have ever tasted in my life! I may sound like I am exaggerating...I am being sincere here. My boyfriend isn’t even into chocolate and he is quite jaded, when it comes to food... he was shocked when he tried one of Maria’s chocolate caramels. Neither of us could stop eating them. Her chocolate is unlike any chocolate I have ever eaten before. Exceptional ingredients. Plus, I don’t feel ookey after eating it. My body actually loves it! Also, her candy store contains non-GMO candies! Thank you, Maria! She now serves coffee beverages (cappuccinos, expressos, etc)…and they are a delicious blend of two coffees with a nice balance of cream...

Nantasket Beach's charming candy store, Nantasket Sweets by Swedes, has quickly become a new favorite of mine. I love their unique decor, with the green & blue glass chandeliers and use of repurposed antiques to create artistic displays.

They offer a wide array of delicious (and healthier) sweets for every taste. Their products feature real sugar versus that nasty corn syrup that's so bad for you. Plus, they are GMO-free. They even have a vegan sampler. Other products include Swedish, Chatham & French chocolates. My new favorite are the mini Daim chocolate bars, but it's hard to just eat one. I had to pick up a little prezzie for a five year old this weekend & the staff was kind enough to put together an assortment...
