Blue Hawaii — Restaurant in Humacao

Located in the plaza, this restaurant served decent sushi. Presentation was done really nice for the three types of sushi I ordered. (See picture) The price was higher than I normally would pay for this grade of sushi. The grade of sushi was slightly above average but not close to high grade sushi. Rolls came apart easily and did not seem as fresh as I would require. But overall, not bad. Service was good and The waitresses constantly checked on me for any needs. The establishment was clean and maintained a high covid protection policy. If you want sushi, this is an okay place to hit. And, the only one that had sushi in the area. So I really didn't have a choice to go anywhere else. Would like to go a second round at the restaurant just to see if they provide a level higher on the sushi. The service was exceptional!!! The staff was very attentive and helped explain the menu with a smile. The owner offered a free appetizer (sweetbread) to get us to try something new and it was very good. Everything we ordered was delicious, the food was hot and the sushi fresh. Highly recommended!!!

We decided to go back on our last night in Puerto Rico and it was the perfect ending to our vacation. The food exceptional as we expected but the staff went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The owners came out to thank us for coming back and they offered a free appetizer again. We kindly declined, so they comped one of our sushi rolls. Just before we left they both came out again and handed us souvenir pens, big hugs all around and wished us a safe return. My family member and I ordered chicken fried rice, egg roll, and crab rangoons. Everything we had was great. While waiting for the food, my family member decided to enjoy a drink. They had previously ordered the food to go. Once the food came out, we decided to enjoy the food since they were still finishing their drink. As we ate, one of the older Asian ladies walked by and said " I thought you ordered your food to go ? " . Mind you, there were no other customers, but us and we were not causing any disturbance. Everyone at my table is literally in shocked and cant help but laugh it off because no way someone just literally talked to us like that.
