I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with my recent experience attempting to book a reservation at your restaurant for my daughter's 16th birthday.
I initially called to book a reservation for May 18th and spoke with a lady named Jennifer, who confirmed the date was available. I mentioned that I needed to confirm the number of guests and would follow up. After confirming the headcount at 23, Jennifer assured me that we could proceed with regular dining as we did not exceed the maximum number for private dining.
To explore all options, I requested to see the private dining menu. I emailed Jennifer on May 6th, as instructed, but did not receive a response. I called multiple times over the next two days but was unable to reach anyone as the mailbox was full. Finally, on May 10th, I reached Jennifer, who acknowledged receiving my email and promised to send the menu within 24 hours.
Jennifer sent the email with the menu on May 11th, and I responded on May 16th to confirm that we would move forward with the regular dining reservation, given that our guest count was still at 23.
On May 18th, the day of the reservation, I called to inform the restaurant that I was running slightly behind. Jennifer answered and asked for my location. When I mentioned our previous communications and the reservation for 2:30 PM, she claimed she assumed I had gone elsewhere because she hadn't heard back from me regarding the menu. I clarified that my email response confirmed the reservation, regardless of the private dining option, which I had explained was not required.
As a result, our party, which included guests driving over an hour to attend, arrived only to be informed that we had no reservation and the restaurant had been booked by someone else. I had to scramble to find another venue that could accommodate our large party, causing significant stress and disappointment.
I do not understand where the miscommunication occurred, as I replied to Jennifer's email within the same thread, So to say you did not receive it is not a valid excuse. Her response and the way the situation was handled were unacceptable, particularly her dismissive remark about technology issues, which I did not find amusing given the circumstances.
This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I hope you can provide an explanation and take steps to ensure such issues do not happen to other customers...
Read moreMy recent visit to Be Good in Huntington Beach, CA left me with mixed feelings. It's a decent spot that's worth considering if you're looking for a place to snap Instagram-worthy photos and enjoy some drinks. There are a couple of things that make it stand out, but it's not without its drawbacks.
One of the major advantages of Be Good is its accessibility. The underground parking lot right next to the location offers free parking for about 2-3 hours, which is a rare and welcome perk in the Huntington Beach area. It eliminates the stress of finding parking and adds convenience to your visit.
The venue itself has a trendy and aesthetically pleasing vibe, making it a good choice for capturing those Instagram photos. The decor is modern and stylish, with a variety of settings that can be a backdrop for your social media content. The lighting is also quite Instagram-friendly, enhancing your photos.
However, there are a few areas where Be Good falls short. The service can be hit or miss, and it's advisable to be patient during busy hours. The prices of drinks are somewhat on the higher side, which can be a downside if you're on a budget. Additionally, the food menu is limited, so it might not be your best choice for a substantial meal.
In summary, Be Good in Huntington Beach, CA is a decent option for those seeking a spot for Instagram photos and drinks. The free parking and stylish decor make it convenient for visitors, but the limited food options and pricing may not suit everyone. While it has its ups and downs, it's worth a visit for the atmosphere and the potential for striking some great...
Read moreSaturday, February 24 was quite interesting at this place. First time that our favorite band was playing in HB. The place is roomy for sure, with an additional area in the back for patrons under 21, I believe. There’s plenty of sitting around the bar. And a few tables around the dance floor. Which seemed a little disorganized. Also the ladies room had no hand soap. No toilet seat covers. And definitely needed attention . The place is severely understaffed, waiters and waitresses under a lot of pressure. Running like chickens without a head. Not knowing what to do. A few bartenders were going to extra mile for sure. A gentleman genuinely apologized to us and stated he was doing his best, and apology accepted. Thank you so much DeShawn! Parking structure across the street and meters all around the sidewalk for parking spaces. About the food, I ordered some kind of taters with Asada. Terrible presentation, taste, and portions. Please improve and will give you another shot. I’m certain you were not expecting the crowd that Soto band brings. Two parties next to us had been waiting over 30 minutes to get their second drink. They also shared with us that they made a reservation a month and a half ago which was not honored last night. It was a hot...
