Golden Road Brewing Huntington Beach — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

Cool Spot, nice vibe, friendly staff, clean well maintained, right next to the marina so the views are great. Family members have been telling me about this place for months, telling me the burgers are crazy good. And if you follow Smokey Fred you know I LIKE MY BURGERS 😋 So I ordered a classic cheeseburger added bacon, cooked med-well with fries and a Belgium beer. My order arrived quickly, the burger tasted very good, stacked high with fresh lettuce tomatoes and onions with a pickel on the side, the fries, ehh, (not a fan) they were dry and seemed to have been under the "heat lamp" for a while, anyway like I was saying the burger was great, But they forgot the bacon and my burger was cooked medium not med-well as I ordered it. But I ate every single bite it was very good. 😋 I am differently gunna come back gotta try the 😋😋 wings and maybe their steak sandwich 😋😋😋. Enjoy 😋 Tell them Smokey Fred sent you...

We were seated quickly and had pretty good service throughout the meal. I liked my spicy chicken sandwich and my thought her turkey melt was okay. Our salads had to much dressing, cheese and such but I am sure some people who don't like salad prefer them that way. The beer was really good and overall I was happy with my meal until the bill came. We had ordered beer, ice tea and a lemonade. We were charged for each ice tea I drank. I travel for work and have eaten all over the place. I have never been charged for refills at a restaurant for tea of regular coffee. I brought this up to the waiter and he said that it's company policy to charge for every drink. Of course there is nothing on the menu about no free refills or anything like that. He said he would have to pay for them and re printed the check. What a terrible company policy that takes advantage of the customers...

Holy mackerel, it was busy when we came here for dinner on Thursday night. The place was hopping but the windows were down letting the cool sea breeze in and the beer was cool. The setting was A+ right on the marina with a view.

Our server was a master, I don't know how he did it all while still being witty and friendly. We got a flight which is always a fun way to try new brews. They were out of the flight sheet but our server still handwrote out the drinks for us on a scrap of paper.

I got the GBR burger. Perfectly charred, a little pink and sinfully drippy. The bun held together surprisingly well. I got it with the Cesar salad and their Sriracha Cesar dressing is surprisingly addictive even for someone who isn't a huge spice fan. Nicely balanced with juicy chunks of cheese.

Definitely would brave the crowd...
