Grim Garden Coffee & Plants — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

At first I loved the idea of a coffee and plant shop in one. The staff was friendly. The overall look was welcoming.

The reason for the low rating is due to lack of cleanliness. The oil infused sticks in the bathroom had mold on them. After I noticed that I looked around to see if that was a misstep or how this business is ran. The tables looked like they weren’t wiped down from the night before. The baseboards and lower parts of the walls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned or even remotely wiped down in a year or more or ever.

After running restaurants for years, there is one fact that doesn’t change. If the front of the house is not well kept, the back of the house is worse. I wouldn’t trust anything from this establishment. I would bet money they don’t clean their machines at all.

I found this store by doing a quick google search for houseplants. Some big box stores popped up, but I decided I was going to support a small business during these tough times.

I'm so glad I did, because I was not only able to find exactly what I was looking for, but I did it with the help and advise of a real plant enthusiast. I know I wouldn't have received that attention at one of the bigger stores.

I went in there looking for two low maintenance plants to accent my 82" tv in my living room. They had plenty of options, but I decided to go with the recommendation made by the store employee (sorry I didn't get your name). I plan to go back as I am adding more houseplants throughout my condo and a few floor plants as well.
