H.B. Pita Grill — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

I'm rather disappointed because it's good food but the customer service I experienced was horrible. They close at 9:00 pm and I entered the store at 8:43 pm. I made my order which included a 2 item plate and a drink and the girl asked me if the order was for dine-in or to-go. I said it was "for here" and then she said they were closing in 15 minutes and asked me if I still wanted to dine in. I said I guess I'll just take it to go. I paid for my order but I wasn't given the cup for the drink I ordered so I assumed I was supposed to get it myself which is no problem for me. I picked up a paper cup and the same employee told me that I did not pay for it so I look at her thinking she was kidding with me but I quickly realized she was serious so I just placed the cup back. (Edit: I did order a drink )

I also noticed two men who walked in after me and the employee informed them they were closing in 10 minutes and so they just walked out and she apologized to them when they walked out. Keep in mind, the restaurant has a LED "open" sign which was still on.

I would've asked for a refund but I was really hungry after a long day at work and the food is still good. I understand they we're closing soon but I don't expect to be guilted into not eating there. Well it worked because I will not eat there again. I'd rather eat somewhere that has decent customer service especially when they asked me if I want to eat there and then...

This place is straight up dopadelic!

From the get go...service was top notch. Super friendly and their t-shirt logo was hilarious! If my stomach was a pita...it'd be stuffed too!

I had the beef plate combo and it was definitely worth the value. They pack a super punch with their spices and seasoning for the beef kabobs. Cooked perfectly and nicely sized chunks. I had to ask for taziki (I can never spell it right) and the garlic sauce...but even those packed a punch! The salad even packed a punch with the perfect balance between the spices and vinegar with oil! The hummus was just as great as the meal itself too!

All you can drink on that tea dispenser thing and sodars.

You know it's a great meal when you're walking upright and answer loudly "OH HE'LL YEAH!" when they ask you if you enjoyed your meal.

I'm gonna cut this short cause now it says my review is longer than most and I can't be stopped...but the food coma...

We ordered Chicken Schwarma and Beef plates. Chicken comes with no rice for some strange reason, beef plate has rice, no problem we can share. Chicken plate had a huge pile of shredded chicken covered half the plate, they could have cut the portion size and given me some rice! Beef plate had huge rice portion covered half the plate with 2 small patties on top, WTH? Chicken and Beef were very dry with no flavor. Dressing for salad was very sour, have no idea what was in it, glad I tasted it before putting it on the salad. We left 1/2 plate of rice and 1/2 plate of chicken, could not eat it, they need to work on portion sizes and lower the prices.

They use an ipad cash register that asks for a tip, WTH, I had to pick up my own plate and get my own silverware and drinks, what am I tipping for?

One and done, wont be coming back, I’ll go to Daphnes if I want fast food...
