I personally have gone to the Anaheim location. Now I know why. The bacon here is just regular store bought bacon nothing to rave about. I ordered banana pancakes and just got plain pancakes with sliced bananas on top. Something you can get at Ihop. Plus no hashbrowns. The gave out the tropical sauce before the pancakes. Also dont get the orange juice. Its not fresh squeezed. Its store bought. You can easily tell the difference.
Once you have a great food experience and expect a certain quality of food you tend to expect it for the price. However everything here is more expensive than Anaheim.
If you want to feel special eating ihop quality food for more money and in a different atmosphere, than come to this Pancake house location.
But if you want food worth the money. Go to the Anaheim location where you get thick and huge pork belly sized bacon and where when you order a pancake they mix that ingredient in the batter and makes the taste astounding. And where fresh squeezed orange juice taste fresh squeezed and not store bought. Trust me the Anaheim location is worth the drive. Experience, food, and cost. You will...
Read moreOMG talk about a great breakfast!! This place has it dialed in to the max!! The options available on this extensive menu are incredible.. I had the Hash browns breakfast and was not disappointed! Literally THE best hash browns I've ever eaten (and I'm no spring chicken lol). Orange juice was magnificent, coffee sublime and milk real cold. Perfect. The portions are generous to say the least. The ONLY issue was their eggs benedict. Came to us over cooked. Waitress saw that too. My boyfriend then just ordered new dish. The waitress still had kitchen remake the eggs. This time was so bad that there was water in the bottom of the dish they were in. Needless to say he didn't eat those either. Waitress apologized and took of the bill. Will we go back? You betcha. 1 morning every week is our new commitment. Just not on a weekend lol. I hear the line is crazy long... On a side note, several decades ago my mom was a server at the location in Southfield Michigan. She would have the cooks make me a attack of silver dollar pancakes. Loved them then too. Fun fact, she actually served the real Colonel Sanders hs pancakes....

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Huntington Beach Pancake House. From the moment we sat down, the service was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was warm and nostalgic—classic diner decor with a modern touch.
The highlight for me? The gluten-free pancakes. Not only were they fluffy and flavorful, but the staff went above and beyond by cooking them in bacon grease instead of peanut oil at my request. I called it “Canadian style” — and it was deliciously spot-on. Paired with extra crispy bacon and hearty hash browns, it was the kind of breakfast that sticks with you in the best way.
Our table was filled with generous portions, and everything we tried—from the corned beef hash to the buttermilk stacks—was cooked to perfection. The place was bustling, filled with locals and regulars, which only added to the charm.
