I’ve been loyal to Milano Nails since January and I continue to be impressed with every visit. From the warm greetings by Anna, Mai, or whoever is at the welcome desk, to the relaxing and inviting atmosphere perfect for a pampering session, Milano Nails has become my go-to sanctuary. Full disclosure: I followed my manicurist, Mimi, and pedicurist, Kim, to Milano, so I already knew they were amazing. Like, the best. As nail techs, they are skilled and attentive to detail, ensuring my nails and toes ALWAYS look flawless. They are so kind and funny as individuals. I often find myself so comfortable in their care that I've dozed off more than a few times! Beyond Mimi and Kim's expertise, Milano as a salon exceeds expectations. Though priced slightly higher than others in the area, it's unquestionably worth it. They use high-quality products, and I appreciate their commitment to hygiene and cleanliness. The salon itself is beautifully decorated, creating a chic and modern ambiance. It’s clear that they take pride in their space and strive to provide a top-notch experience for their clients. I've hosted several family members here, and they've all left equally delighted. Bonus: They offer complimentary drink service and snacks… so much fun! This last visit, I opted for a classic gel manicure and the Aloha Fruit Fusion pedicure (and a glass of chardonnay). My mom enjoyed her coffee with a fancy gel mani and one of their newest pedicure treatments (not listed on their menu at the time): a strawberry yogurt steamer… it was like a breakfast treat for her feet! Our nails have never looked better! The color selection is extensive, and even though we both opted for a French mani, they still helped us choose the perfect shade of pink to best complement our skin tones perfectly. I also really appreciate that when its almost time to wrap up, Anna or another manager will be sure you're fully satisfied with your visit. Overall, Milano Nails has become my sanctuary—a place where I feel cared for and pampered every time. Whether you're looking for a top-notch salon experience or specifically looking to book with Mimi and Kim, I highly recommend Milano Nails for a professional and enjoyable nail care experience. Pro Tip: Pay in cash to receive discounts and accumulate savings in your customer account for future visits—it's a win-win! Note: The last pic is of my nails a week and a half AFTER my appointment.

I used to be a loyal customer of Milano Nail Spa Huntington Beach since their grand opening, but unfortunately, the quality of service has gone way downhill. My last visit on 02/21/2025 was incredibly disappointing. I got the Berry in Love Pedicure ($72) and a gel manicure ($46), totaling $118.65, and it was probably the worst experience I’ve had at this salon. Pedicure Issues: - They didn’t use the steamer at all, even though my pedicurist prepped it. Instead, I watched the pedicurist next to me use it for her client. Not sure if it’s supposed to be included, but I’ve always received it before. - The cuticle cleanup was awful—I pointed out dead skin multiple times, and at the end, she just smiled and said "sorry." - She missed spots when painting my toes, and when I pointed it out, she corrected it, but by then, the whole nail looked messy and uneven. The polish was applied so far from my skin that my nails looked grown out already before I even left. Manicure Issues: - The manicurist was lazy—instead of soaking off my previous gel, she just drilled it all off, leaving my nails paper-thin. - My nails were healthy and strong when I walked in, but she made them so weak that one chipped within hours (photo attached). Poor Customer Service: When I went to pay, the receptionist claimed she needed to check the quality of my nails, but only looked at them quickly while I was still wearing sneakers. I literally had to ask if she wanted me to take my shoes off to actually see my toes. I expressed my concerns about everything that went wrong, but instead of addressing it properly, they just asked if I had extra time (which I didn’t) and then charged me the full amount anyway. They mentioned a "credit" for my next visit, but didn’t tell me how much or provide any proof. Honestly, I don’t even know if it’s real, and at this point, I have no interest in returning. Yes, the salon has a 7-day policy for fixes, but what’s the point when you can’t fix a chipped nail or undo the damage to my natural nails? I’d rather take my business elsewhere. Avoid this place unless you want to waste your money on subpar service!

Disappointing Experience – Looks Can Be Deceiving

Honestly, I wanted to like this place. It’s super close to my house, looks clean, and has great massage chairs for pedicures — all of which gave me hope. But unfortunately, the experience just doesn’t hold up, and I won’t be returning.

First Visit – A Letdown on My Birthday: I came in for my birthday and went all out with upgraded services hoping for more of a spa-like experience. I got a gel manicure and higher-end pedicure. By the next morning, my gel manicure was already chipped — on both my thumb and index finger. I’ve been getting gel nails for years, and this was by far the fastest I’ve ever seen a gel manicure fall apart. I understand some manicures last longer than others depending on the technician, but this was just unacceptable.

When I reached out, they offered to repair the nail — but I was leaving for a trip the next day and didn’t have time to sit and wait around for a fix. That was disappointing.

Second Chance – Still Missed the Mark: They offered a complimentary gel polish on my next visit (after some back-and-forth, didnt come easily), so I decided to give them another shot and even brought someone with me. I got my nails done on a Sunday at 1 p.m. — by Wednesday afternoon, the gel on my middle finger chipped. Again. It’s ironic, and frustrating.

About Those Reviews… One thing I think people should know: they actively push for five-star reviews while you’re checking out. They even walk around with signs and QR codes, asking you to scan and leave a review before you leave. And yes — they check your hands and feet before you go, but of course everything ā€œlooks fineā€ in the moment. It’s not about how it looks when you leave — it’s about quality and lasting results, which this place lacks.

For what they charge, I honestly could’ve painted my own nails with regular polish at home and had better longevity. This place is all about the presentation and none of the substance.

My advice: If you’re still considering going, make sure you have a great tech, because the overall consistency and quality control just...
