I purchased 5 beef shishkebobs today. The meat was terribly tough. Didn't dare dump it in the garbage disposal in fear that it would break it. I called the store and the gentleman that answered the phone was very courteous and apologetic. He asked that I come back into the store and they would give me a credit. I mentioned that I had some left over meat that I could also provide as proof of the poor quality. I went in the store with some leftover meat and my receipt. I didn't want to cause a scene (having owned my own retail business before). I went to a cashier station that was closed where a man and a checker were standing talking. I tried to explain my situation, the checker, Charlene, went on to telling me in a stern voice to get in line at an opened station and get my situation taken care of. I would have thought that customer service would have taken over at this point and they would have preferred to handle this situation discretely...but no. I stood in line (which was not a problem) and gave the left over meat and my receipt and was able to receive my credit. My complaint at this point is that Charlene, who has been with Stater for years, would have been better at handling this matter instead of making me feel like I was in the wrong!!! Sorry Stater Brothers, my husband goes there every single blessed day...I really don't want to be a customer of yours anymore. Give your employees a class on customer service. I understand that sometimes you can sell poor quality food but there is no excuse for making customers feel like they are in the...
Read moreEveryone is great except a certain cashier. Should I clarify? Connie a is very rude towards 3rd party shoppers. I think she hates us and treats us differently vs everyone else. Makes me skip this stater brothers and avoid this one. I hate to say it but it's the truth. Just because we are third party shoppers, doesn't mean we are no different from regular customers. Stop treating us differently! It's not just me it's some of us that see the same thing! I will generously rate a 3 even tho she doesn't even deserve a 3. I'll change the rating as she changes her nasty hidden attitude towards us. Me and others haven't done anything to her to deserve this hateful attitude. Everyone else is pleasant. Even the manager so it's an absolute SHAME one employee has a nasty attitude!! Wow just honestly wow! The rating is only for her. Everyone else is so nice and love it. Check your cashiers and just because some of us aren't confrontational and avoid it doesn't mean we should be ignored and not taken serious. It's not just one, it's a few of us taking this into account and I feel like we are being ignored. We represent the...
Read moreStater brothers is my grocery jam.
Great meats, they run some good holiday sales like Ribeye for 4th of July and likewise holidays, Or tri tip if you would prefer for a nice grilling weekend.
Sales aren't just limited to holidays, They run some decent deals year round to help move their product.
But whenever I go to staters- I'm there for the meat. They have competitive market prices on each bacon, chicken and ground beef- They have a high protein vanilla Greek yogurt that I use before workouts, Store brand not from concentrate orange juice, And usually have good produce as well.
Between staters and trader Joes I could find everything I would need / want, Which for me is a high compliment concomparatively for staters.
Only thing I would critique is their fish, Or rather specifically their salmon- I will usually find better price and in my opinion freshness at Ralph's. But otherwise the joint rarely ever let's me down.
Customer service is good as well, Most all of the employees are forthcoming with assistance. They got that beef...
