This was a dealbreaker kind of experience today. I was there at 11:30 to get my ma her favorite sandwich, a BLT on a baguette. With only one person ahead of me, I was sure I would get to mom’s house by 12. Yet, the cashier had so much difficulty, I was unable to order for another 15 minutes. She kept making errors and when a gentleman stepped up to help her, with the computerized ordering thingamajig, she waved him away! She forgot to provide coffees for people and one man left without one of his sandwiches. I was befuddled by her ineptitude. The man making sandwiches switched with her so she was making the sandwiches. Boy was I sorry to see that because I did not tip her. I usually do tip but her not accepting offered assistance and several witnessed mistakes made me think her unworthy. Upon return home a few hours later, I decided to go back to Lee sandwich. The reason being I only had one slice of meat per 5”. This is a 10 inch sandwich with exactly 2 slices of meat?! The lady working said there is no manager on duty which surprises me cause there should be somebody in charge but who am I to argue. She tells me all the meat is pre-weighed and declined to look at the sandwich I had provided. I don’t care if my 80 something invalid mother wants this calorie dense meal, I won’t...
Read moreI went inside the store/restaurant on a Saturday morning on Goldenwest and Edinger in Huntington Beach. I placed a big order for me and my parents. Four bbq pork sandwiches with eggs and a couple of egg roll orders. I was charged $63 something and I was like okay, it is a big order, so that’s fine. I’m sitting waiting for my order to be called and I get a text message from my credit card that I got charged $65 something else!! I went up to the counter and told the lady that charged me what happened, she pointed to a half torn message on a white paper stuck to her machine saying something like, there’s extra charge for using a credit card. I was like: “I’ve been talking to you about how this is my first time in your store, you should’ve said something. I could’ve paid cash!” That’s the first thing.
The second, I get home and I open the bbq pork sandwich and check if they added the extra eggs I ordered, they were there. I was like cool. I take a bite and it tastes horrible!! I look inside the sandwich and it was something like pulled pork or roast beef or something else, not the bbq pork I ordered!! There went my $60 some!! I’m never going to that place again! Terrible service and...
Read moreThey recently remodeled and they now look like a modern coffee shop. Don't let that fool you though. The service is mediocre and I'm pretty sure they hiked up the prices too. We ordered just two banh mi but the girl at the register rang us up for two combos - which include a bag of chips. She later came by and saw we had two bags of chips and asked us why we had two bags instead of one when she stated earlier that each combo comes with a bag of chips - our receipt even said she rang us up for two bags of chips. She also kept questioning us on our choice of drink - even though we got the combo (like other combo meals, comes with a drink of choice), we asked for a cup of water each. In short, this girl was super invasive. As for the food, we paid about $15 for two combos; the ingredients overall tasted fine but the bread tasted stale. If you want good banh mi, I highly suggest...
