A&V Seafood Market — Restaurant in Huntsville

I bought grouper from this location ysterday afternoon (2/09/18) and it got me extremely ill. When I called the store and advised the lady what the fish did to me and my boyfriend and I was just giving a courtesy call for her to check their grouper this morning the lady was very combatant and told me I must not know how to cook. After insulting me she then told me to bring the remaining grouper back in the get a credit. I advised I am not pulling the fish out of the trash and driving it over 30 minutes. I told her I just wanted to check the fish cause I didn't want to get anyone else sick. Her rudeness is why I'm leaving a negative review. I understand selling bad fish can happen but her personal attack on my ability to cook was unnessary when I cook fish all the time. I will NEVER visit this place again!!!!! When I first started coming here about 6 months ago I would get the most beautiful, bright, large crab clusters. I had an issue with her weighing them frozen and the price changing every time I went but it was worth it.

Now, the last 2 times all I’ve gotten are pieces from what seems to be the bottom of the barrel (so to speak). Dirty, clearly overcooked covered in albumin, freezer burnt, and just pieces even though I specifically ask for “clusters”. She bags them up before you can see them. I should’ve checked them...

Best seafood market and Alaskan King & Snow Crab legs in Huntsville! The owner is super nice and recognizes me every time I call or go there. We get approx. 10 lbs of crab legs several times a year. They also have a PERFECT health department rating. I hope they'll be here to stay for the foreseeable future.

EDIT: 2 years later & I'm continuously impressed by quality & freshness of their offerings! This is THE BEST place for fresh seafood in Huntsville.
