Great option for a quick service breakfast, lunch, or brunch in the Jones Valley area. We've been twice and enjoyed both visits.

As the name implies, the focus of this restaurants is biscuits! You'll mostly find biscuit sandwiches here, but they also have bonuts (biscuit donut holes), and dessert/sweet style biscuits (like a biscuit French toast or s'mores biscuits). There are a couple of non-biscuit options too, like pancakes, eggs, and pancake wrapped corn dogs.

You enter and join the line to order at the counter. Your food will be brought out to you when it's ready. The restaurant has been very clean on both of our visits. The decor is bright and sunshiney, which will perk you up in the morning. :) Service has been very friendly and helpful, moreso than your average counter service restaurant.

So far, we've tried a variety of things: loaded breakfast tots, the love shack (French toast biscuit), the mama's boy (pimento cheese and fried green tomato chicken biscuit), the fire in your belly (chicken biscuit with Nashville hot mayo), and the Rockwell (chicken biscuit with cheese and sausage gravy).

We have felt more positively than negatively about all the items we've had. I sampled a bite of all the main courses and I think my favorite is the Mama's boy. The fire in your belly is a close second for me, but the pimento cheese with the MB adds some needed moisture, in my opinion. I'm not a huge sausage gravy fan personally, but my husband likes the Rockwell, with the caveat that next time he'll order it without cheese. My sister in law loves the love shack and I agree it's super yummy if you're looking for a fruity, more French toast-ish breakfast. The loaded breakfast tots probably get the most mixed reception. I like them (especially with the dipping sauce), but the texture can be slightly offputting; they're slightly squishy, which one doesn't necessarily expect from tots, but is a result of the ground sausage. Rest assured they're supposed to be that way.

My main criticisms are that the price is a tiny bit high for the serving sizes and the fact that it's a counter service restaurant (in my opinion, at least -- for context, I'd say the average chicken biscuit here is ~$11 and that's before adding any sides or a drink) and that sometimes the chicken cutlets on the biscuits are a little too thin and dried out. The latter isn't a super consistent problem but has happened on more than one dish.

Overall, though, we really enjoy this restaurant and will definitely be back for more breakfast and...

1: I'm deaf 2: new to biscuit belly (didn't know how system worked🫣🤫🤪) 3: not a fan of dine/take out (bad experiences) First, I must say I went in and told them I'm deaf and asked how does it work, do I just take a seat. Jennifer nodded. So I seated myself and looked at my menu. I decided what I wanted (with questions.) I sat for a few seconds and one of the waitress saw that I wasn't following procedure and approached my table. I asked did i need to go up to counter to order. She pointed and nodded. I then went about retrieving my card to pay. Jennifer came to my table as I was digging in my bag for my card. She had pen and paper in hand. I told her I was on my way to counter to make my order. Jennifer vigorously pointed to herself and the paper. (Deaf people are not dumb we can figure things out) she was simply telling me she would take my order, so she began to write asking for my order. We sat and got my order together before going to counter to pay. As a deaf woman (wasn't born deaf but, with a deteriorating hearing. Meaning one day I would hear no more) I find it hard to go out and patronize with companies because people are just not nice to deaf people. Hello, we are here and not going anywhere.) If you want our money you have to be kind and patient with us because it may take a little longer to get our purchase. Now biscuit Belly is located next door to "Nothing bundt cakes" who are not kind to deaf people (bad bad experience with them) but I put that out of mine and went to biscuit Belly hoping for a pleasant experience. I received that and more. Jennifer, I praise you for the extra mile you went to help me. It's rare, so thank you. Atmosphere was VERY! clean and calm. Wait staff was very HELPFUL (Jennifer was a beaut 🤩) only problem I had with my visit was my biscuit. It was a tad bit hard and there was cheese on my biscuit that wasn't stated in the menu description "basic biscuit ") which was fine I just removed it. The portion was good. Coffee had refills and I left with my belly satisfied. Do I want to drive so far for great service, no but I will. I enjoyed biscuit belly very much and would recommend it to others to experience especially to my deaf community. Can't say you'll have my experience but, I only hope you will.

From a deaf woman's point...

4 and a half stars. I love everything about Biscuit Belly except the price. The food is excellent. By its name, it obviously advertises good biscuits, and I can't say that's true...the biscuits are outright addictive and probably some of the best I've ever had in my life! If you visit, be sure to order an extra biscuit to go, even warmed up. They're excellent! As far as the menu goes, it has something for everyone. Even my friend, who's gluten-free, can order a delicious breakfast/brunch here. Yes, they specialize in both breakfast and brunch as they're open till 2 or 3 pm, usually. A lady waiting with me in line the other day asked if I had been there before wanting recommendations. I told her I was a regular, but giving a recommendation is almost impossible as everything on that menu is a hit! It all comes down to your preferences. If you like a certain something, they've got it or something like it! The only real downsides I can say about the Carl T Jones location in Huntsville is the parking in that area of the strip mall has limited parking so you may have to walk a tad to get parking on really busy days but it's not that far a walk. They seriously need to remove that little grass grass area that makes the parking lot inconvenient, in my opinion. They can have more space if they do. You'll know what I'm talking about and why it's a design flaw when you visit. The other downside is price. Although the food portions are plentiful, they're on the high side. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit & a small soft drink last time I went, and it came out to $17 (with or without a $5 tip, I can't remember). However, again, you won't leave hungry as portion sizes are very generous. Those are the only things I can really find to complain about lol. It's really great, and I highly recommend you try them! *they do serve limited alcoholic beverages. Most are liquor and additions to drinks like hot cocoa or iced coffee...

What an amazing breakfast!!! One of the best I've had in my life. We saw Wendy on a Monday at one of our work establishments when I had a throbbing headache. She was there promoting the business. So my friend and I made a biscuits and gravy and biscuit sandwich purchase. We were instantly hooked, and my headache was gone!!!! She invited us to come to the restaurant. So, we made a special trip. The whole establishment from the front patio to the lobby to the cash register to the restrooms was clean, neat, organized, homey, welcoming, and awesome. The made from scratch softball sized biscuits are so big and fluffy. I mean.....wow. The sausage gravy is so soo perfect. I had the DITCH THE WAFFLE N CHICKEN and CHEESY GRITS. The chicken was slamming, and the French Toast was top notch. The cheesy grits were just right and not too salty. My friend had THE ROCKWELL SUPREME and let me cut a piece of the sandwich. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever tasted. From the biscuit to the bacon and everything in between, it was a kick in the mouth good!!! I will be getting this sandwich next time. We also received a free order of bonuts of which I recommend trying. They were sweet and tasty. Overall, we were very happy that we came. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant as one of your stops in Huntsville. Thanks to Wendy and your staff for a wonderful breakfast meal and experience. Everyone was so friendly and professional. I can't wait to come back.

Starting this review by saying it’s the first week this place is open, so my review is subject to change when we go try it again in about a month. If it wasn’t brand new, we would not be back so I will be giving them another chance. The restaurant was extremely busy which is understandable for somewhere new in town, the ordering process was easy and they were very well staffed. Cleaning off tables as soon as people got up. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very stylish and clean. That being said we waiting about 10-15 minutes after sitting to get our food. We ordered each a hot and cold lucky charms latte, which was extremely sweet and did not have much of a “coffee” flavor at all. For food my husband ordered the mamas boy biscuit and I got the goat biscuit. First the food was not very hot, the chicken on both of our meals was DRY and THIN, you could not even cut it with a knife. I had to pull it apart with my hands. The biscuits were very dry too. The pimento cheese on my husbands biscuit was more like a sauce… order the loaded tots and the sauce it came with was very strange. The best part of the meal were the fried green tomatoes my aunt ordered. Out of the 4 of us that were there no one finished their food, not because we were full but because it just was not very good. That being said, it’s the first week but just beware it may not be up to par if you go on a busy day.

Biscuit Belly is easily one of my favorite breakfast spots! Previously, I’ve only had it in Louisville(not where I’m from or live) but we were visiting family in Huntsville and I couldn’t have been more excited to visit theirs! I’m not saying it was the highlight of my trip, but it wasn’t far off! Lol My go to is the Rockwell Supreme and that’s exactly what I ordered for this visit! As usual, it didn’t disappoint! It’s hands down the best breakfast “sandwich” I’ve ever had! I use quotations on the sandwich because even though it’s a sandwich, you’re going to eat it with a knife and fork. Ever since I’ve had my first one, I’ve been chasing finding something similar that is local to me but I haven’t had much luck. The sandwich is a biscuit sandwich with a fried chicken breast, goetta gravy, bacon, cheese and a egg served over easy! It’s amazing! I recommend to everyone! Other things we had this visit was my wife ordered the basic biscuit sandwich and we split the loaded tots which are amazing. We also had a S’mores biscuit and gravy which is to die for! I’d definitely recommend it for the table though! That thing has all the calories you should have for the week! As I mentioned when I started, Biscuit Belly is an all time favorite breakfast spot of mine! If you’re in a city that has one, go! No if, ands or buts!
