It had been a few months since I ate at a Red Robin. I occasionally have a craving for a hamburger and it is within walking distance and decided on another visit.
The hostess was very friendly. We asked for a booth and were seated in a booth for two. In hindsight, I should have asked for one of the large booths as it was a late lunch and plenty of them were available. The top was very crowded with two people in such a small booth which was uncomfortable.
There are plenty of ways to order a hamburger or cheeseburger. I opted for a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise only—not very adventurous but I came for traditional American hamburger and it was available. I could have ordered for one without the cheese but there were several varieties of cheese available.
The burger came with unlimited french fries. Be careful of this option. They seem like frozen fries that have just been cooked (not potatoes cut up in the restaurant) but they taste good. One order should be enough for anyone. No doubt, many people do go for a second helping as there is not an extra charge.
Broccoli is also available instead of the fries and probably a healthier—but less popular—option to go with a burger or other sandwich.
I have only tried the hamburgers here. A number of other sandwiches are also available.
Red Robin is more comfortable than the more common hamburger restaurants and it is not necessary to order at the counter. It is more expensive than a Hardee's or McDonald's but ambiance and service is a step above as well.
So, overall, Red Robin offers tasty food at a reasonable price and in a comfortable atmosphere. For those looking for a tasty hamburger, that is less expensive but perhaps not the same quality as the $18 burger at an expensive restaurant, this is a...
Read moreHaven't been to Red Robin in over a year. Because, of last experience. Should have stayed away. Got there in middle of shift change and everyone getting ready for the evening shift. They had a team meeting that the guy was yelling all the food and drinks to push tonight. What was new what was gone from the menu. During this our drink order was hostage until they got done over five minutes later. We received menus but were informed that they were the old ones and the new ones are not in yet so items on it that we wanted were not available having us to relook over the menu to decide to order something else. If you haven't been out for a while its 25$ per person now. So, we ordered. Waited for food that has shrunk in size. Flavor missing and lack luster plating. Waiting staff didn't ask to refill our drinks and only as we were done with our food asked to refill our so called bottom less items. We left disappointed and not really satisfied with the meal. With that kind of service I will not tip on drinks that don't get refilled or add on charges to have added with the meal. I tip on meal price only at a bill totaling over 60$ for three people an wages being increased even in this field. I don't think 12+$ tip for this experience was necessary. Almost tipping as much as three drinks. Red Robin is now off our list. If I want that small of a burger I will go to McDonald's. It wouldn't have been so bad if the chairs were not so sticky. The shades on the windows all half up and down. The floors wet and blocked to use the restroom to wash hands etc. table so wabbling and having to be my own cashier with the check out devices on the table. So, what is it the service...
Read moreMy fiancé and I normally go to the Red Robin over at Bridgestreet as we always have phenomenal service there and have had zero issues, only stopped at this one while we were out this way on the way back home. When we arrive, we had to wait about 5-10 mins for someone to see us standing waiting to be taken to a table as there wasn’t a host/hostess nearby at all. The guy who took us to our table wasn’t even a host I don’t think, but still went out of his way to seat us so I appreciate that even though I think he was having a rough night as he didn’t seem too friendly. After we’re seated, we have to wait about another 5-10 mins for someone to even acknowledge our presence and get our drink order. We needed to change seats for personal reasons and there was a wait for that, but that was understandable so that wasn’t an issue to me at all. Once our waitress shows us another table to go to, she immediately asks us what we want to order and we were still kind of trying to figure it out, but we both felt extremely rushed by her and she was very short and rude with us the entire time. I don’t know if she meant to make us feel that way and maybe she was just stressed, but I still feel like she could’ve been nicer towards us than she was. She didn’t check on us at all the entire time while we were eating and she didn’t talk to us until we were ready to go. Overall, customer service lacks at this location, unless it was just her I can’t speak on other servers. Hopefully it gets addressed for future customers. However, the food was fantastic as always so...
