Worst meal of my life! Goes to show that management and staff can make all the difference. I had a phenomenal meal at the Longhorn in Carrollton, GA less than 30 days ago so I went in with expectations of a great meal. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE! First they tried to sit us at a table that was right outside the kitchen even though the restaurant was more than half empty. The table would have been noisy, hot, miserable. After a 10 minute wait they moved to a table next to a large party and right by the door. When ordering drinks, I asked if I could get a daiquiri instead of a margarita. The waiter looked at me like I had 3 heads, he didn't know what a daiquiri was. I explained it was made with rum instead of tequila. He said he didn't think they had rum at the bar! I said "Why don't you go ask the bartender". We ordered a shrimp appetizer, chopsteak w/stuffed baked potato and Filet w/sweet potato. Waiter brought out our Cesar salads and bread; no where near enough dressing for salads 1/3 the size and hardly any butter. About 10 minutes later he brought our entrees....and no appetizer. I asked what happened to the shrimp? He said "you don't still want it do you?" I guess not, it was supposed to come before the entree. My chopsteak was not as ordered; I ordered medium rare and it arrived burnt and hard as shoe leather with a dried out, over cooked potato that was not what I would call "stuffed". On my mom's dinner they tried to pass off an extremely tough sirloin as a filet; and paired it with a small, shriveled, over cooked sweet potato. I think they saw 2 older women and thought we wouldn't complain. WRONG! We sent everything back as it was inedible. The 2nd attempt was not much better. My chopsteak arrived almost raw - just slightly browned on the outside, cold and raw inside. The potato was cooked better but still not stuffed. My mom got her Filet this time but it was cooked incorrectly, coveted with black pepper and definitely not worth the almost $30 price tag. At least her sweet potato was edible this time. I did get a daiquiri but it was mostly ice cubes and very little drink. The attitude of all the employees was terrible! No hellos, no thank-you, no smiles, no service. Just a bunch of frowns, huffs, sighs, employees on cell phones, being ignored, excuses, double speak, conflicting stories, etc. If you want a nice dinner GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. WE WILL...
Read moreWILL NEVER GO BACK. I have never had an experience as terrible as the one I had last night while eating out that I had to pay so much for. The restaurant was freezing cold, so cold I could barely talk without shivering. The waitress was inattentive at best until we were ready to check out. We sat down at 7pm. Almost an hour after sitting down - thirty minutes after we received our appetizer - we finally received food. My daughter’s fries were undercooked, my medium rare steak was raw (pictures from once I got home), my boyfriend’s shrimp and salmon were overcooked. The waitress, Bria, set our food down, asked if we needed anything, handed us empty ketchup, and then disappeared. I cut into my steak once, realized it was raw, but she never asked if our food was okay. I have been a server/manager before, if someone cut once into a steak and didn’t take a single bite that would be a major clue it wasn’t cooked to temp. I am putting this nicely - someone needs to train Bria how to be waitress at a steakhouse. I don’t know how, as a competent server, you don’t ask if someone’s steak was cooked correctly. She didn’t even stop long enough for us to tell her something was wrong. I guess I should expect that from someone who picks up an empty ketchup bottle and sets down on a table for their guests. We decided to get our ketchup from a different table after not being able to get anyone attention despite being right next to the kitchen. About ten minutes after receiving food (at 7:59) without asking if we were satisfied or even if we wanted anything else, our waitress set the check on the table. At that point, I wasn’t even going to ask for manager to fix my meal. I decided to take my $20 steak home to cook it up there. I immediately put the payment in and she took it within two minutes. It was very telling that most she paid attention to the table was when she was receiving the payment. We received our check at 7:59, she took payment at 8:03. I paid $73 (not including the tip) for a below average meal that I had to wait an hour for. I will be contacting the corporate office about...
Read moreWhere to start. We stopped going to Longhorn years ago due to the fact the steaks all started tasting like liver. But hey, it's been about 6 years and we didn't want to drive over the mountain to Logan's, so we decided to give them another try. First were told 30 minute wait, it was an hour. No biggie, with covid going on, we understand. I ordered a 6oz medium rare renegade with a baked sweet potato and my husband ordered a 8oz medium rare renegade with a baked potato. Food was dropped off fast, no asking to cut into the steaks. I started to fork butter into my potato, only to find out it is not baked all the way. James said his potato was baked all the way through. Then I tried the steak, delicious! James cut into his and it was cold and raw! It took us awhile to flag our waitress down. As she walked up she saw the steak and even said that was raw. I then told her about my potato and she said the potato will come back real quick. So I finish my steak that ended up going from medium rare to rare, to medium rare again, but it wasn't raw, so no problem. James gets his steak (same steak) back with a new potato (??) and mine is no where in sight. I have to flag her down again to ask for it. So as I eat my potato James eats is new baked potato and his rare, yes rare, not medium rare steak. Never did they come back and ask about it. Then to top it off, no discount or anything offered. We could of gone over the mountain to Logan's, had a fantastic steak & potato, and made it back home before we finished the mess at Longhorn. I normally do not give bad reviews, but this was a disaster. Only good thing was everyone was friendly. And yes, we left a 20% tip, it...
