Had my first experience with Kung Fu Tea this past Thursday. It's a small, attractive little bubble tea shop (Huntsville's first brick and mortar bubble tea shop, at that) in the MidCity development. I believe it's owned by the same folks who own Kamado Ramen next door, as well as the Stovehouse location. The inside is decorated in a very attractive, modern way. Not a ton of seating - just a couple of high top tables. There's a wall with a wing mural for all your Instagram needs. :) Contrary to other reviews, my drink was made quickly -- despite there being 4 people in front of me, I received it in less than 10 minutes. I understand you can also order online. The employees were friendly and helpful. I had to use the restroom while I waited. It's a bit hard to find, as it seems to be shared with Kamado, but signs led me to it eventually. It was one of the most nicely decorated public bathrooms I've been in for a while, which was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Very clean with room for only one person at a time, so private as well. Kung Fu Tea has a lot of options and I'm still relatively new to the whole bubble tea thing, and I tend to stay in my lane of my one or two favorites, which are Thai tea with crystal boba (sometimes coffee jelly) and brown sugar milk tea with crystal boba. Thai tea is my favorite, so I ordered that. It was priced appropriately. I'm not sure that I really loved it -- it doesn't have any of the beautiful orange coloring traditional Thai tea has, and it was really strong on the tea flavor. Not so strong on the sweetened condensed milk flavor, haha. I should've guessed based on the pictures of the Thai tea I saw before going in. On the bright side, the boba was basically perfect in texture and flavor. While I'd give my drink a 3, I'm rating a 4 based on experience and what I'll call user error / faulty expectations or assumptions on my part. I'd like to go back and try the brown sugar milk tea, if they have it, or their coffee milk tea (which I know they have.

I visited Kung Fu Tea today to purchase a Cocoa Cream Wow for $4 as that was the special in the app. Upon ordering, the cashier who would not provide me with his name asked if I would like a small or large. I asked him what size do you get for the special. He replied “you can get either”. I ordered the large, received my drink, and left. Only to discover that my drink did not contain the milk cap pictured in the advertisement for the special. I came back to the store and relayed my concerns. I was told that tax makes a $4 drink $5.23
..no. I was then told that I should have reviewed the screen before paying if that’s not what I wanted to pay. This ignorant, condescending employee was totally missing the point. I was told one thing, and charged another. I have no problem paying for what I want. However, employees should be transparent when asked questions. I asked for my drink to be remade and “Leah” was more than accommodating. She was calm, not argumentative, and understood where I was coming from. However, the gentleman that was beyond disrespectful (pictured) and has been EVERY TIME I have visited Kung Fu Tea continues to leave a sour taste in my mouth. Management should release him of his duties. He is purely bad for business and will continue to run customers away.

The wait is super long. Of course we know it’s a new place & popular, but there was only 3 people working in a packed store w/ one of them the cashier.. we ordered online and it was 20 mins past our est. time & order didnt come out. ( was a total of 40 mins PAST our est. time we had to wait even though we ordered ahead .. we finally checked w the worker& he acted surprised meaning they didn’t even start making our order yet ) These 2 stars are solely for the bubble tea. It taste the same as any other KFT franchise store. this specific location has ridiculously long wait / inefficiency / bad COVID social distancing regulation . We came to try it out but probs won’t be back. Nothing special . UPDATE: they messed up one of our boba . We ordered a lychee tea w BUBBLE. You can see in the pic they charged us but we’re MISSING bubble. (Also my cocoa cream tea was too bland)

I've ordered many times, in-person and DoorDash, and it's pretty good! The only downsides to my experience has been that the rosehip tea which was one of my favorites hasn't been great the last couple of times I've ordered and has had a very odd taste to it. The matcha has still been pretty good though! Also, sometimes the tapioca pearls are served somewhat dried out and not fresh. It is 1 of 2 boba places I have tried in Huntsville, AL, and unfortunately, it is not my favorite of the two as I find the other establishment to have more of an authentic, homemade taste to it (not claiming Kung Fu Tea is or isn't homemade or authentic), but what sets Kung Fu Tea apart from the 2 is that it offers delivery options such as DoorDash as of current, and, I believe, it has more menu options (though due to it being a franchise with multiple locations and the other being fairly new and a single shop if I am not all mistaken).

TLDR: Despite a small lack of consistent quality in their menu items, OVERALL it's a fantastic place to get some boba tea, and I highly...
