6+ days ago (to another disappointed visitor) they said "We apologize for the inconvenience with your order. We're committed to improving, and we're confident that we'll exceed your expectations next time. We hope for the opportunity to serve you again soon."
Spoilers: they aren't improving.
My husband and I both ordered the Logan. When we got our steaks mine was ok, under from the medium rare I ordered but I do occasionally like a Pittsburgh Blue. My husband ordered medium rare as well. His was purple. He never orders a steak that has a chance to survive. Our waitress didn't check our table at all. When she finally came to our table she asked if we wanted boxes. We asked her to fix his steak instead. They brought us back the same pieces of steak we sent. They put this steak back on the grill after it had been at our table for a while. . .
My husband took our toddler for a clean diaper and a walk while this steak cooked. I worked on cutting my steak and nibbling the appetizer we ordered. It took at least 15 minutes for the waitress to come back with his steak. The waitress walked off after I checked the first piece of correctly cooked steak. As I cut into the second larger piece I saw a solid red rare steak, but he ordered medium rare. . . Called the waitress back to see what could be done.
At this point my husband was back from walking our busy body toddler. He saw the still red meat and sighed the great sigh of disappointment. Our waitress offered to re-recook the steak to "try to get it right". My husband does occasionally eat a rare steak so he said he would just take what he got, at this point he "was hungry and just wanted to eat".
The waitress didn't notice or fill my empty glass. . .
We ate what we could. My steak was mostly gristle and I wanted to discuss that with the manager when they came by. I thought they would come by. . .
You'd expect them to come by, right?
The waitress dropped the bill on our table and scurried away. My glass was still empty. There was no visit from the manager. I called for a little tea as she walked away. She didn't hear me. . .
I asked a different waitress to grab the manager for me.
When the manager did come to the table I got the impression she was in a first time management position. So I asked if the waitress had told her about our steak issue and what the normal policy was for issues like this.
I learned you have to send the steak back 3 times before they will cook you a new one.
She glared at my husband's plate. He had eaten about 4oz of the steak. 3 of which was cooked to the correct temp. According to her since he ate it she wasn't willing to take it off our check.
I'm not asking for a free dinner I'm asking for decent customer service and an acceptable dinner.
At this point I mentioned all the things I had experienced, pointed out the wads and wads of gristle on my plate and asked if the manager thought our experience was worth what we were asked to pay.
She agreed that our experience wasn't worth that.
A manager who supports their staff and wants a good customer experience would have already offered several ways to correct this and I wouldn't have had to pose that question.
She wasn't willing to do anything. With the company in bankruptcy and locations closing daily I don't know what I expected. Maybe the surviving locations are surviving for a reason? This location will not make it much longer with this manager on duty.
She finally offered to take a little off our bill if I wanted, "but it won't be much". . .
I shouldn't have to ask you to reduce the cost of a meal that was barely edible.
Even the little country restaurant I worked at wouldn't have served steak like this and wouldn't treat a customer this way. I wasn't happy.I told her "I see how you treat your customers and how you run things here, you can leave"
We paid and walked out still a little hungry. We will not be back.
Save your money, this place isn't what it was...
Read moreThe Huntsville, AL area has three Loganâs Roadhouse options. After our visit yesterday, I can say that Huntsville doesnât have any options as they all have issues and I donât recommend anyone of them. I will give a brief explanation for my stance on each: Huntsville University Drive â This location while having undergone some recent renovations has staffing issues. Our last visit we were there when they opened and was turned away due to plumbing issues and hot water issues. We were followed out by the hostess and she said that the issues had been resolved. This was just the start. The waitress took almost 15 minutes to come to the table but yet when she did we realized she had been standing over with other servers having a conversation about their night the week before. The food was good but the service at this location is a major issue. This has been the case for the last several visits so we stopped going. Madison Location â This facility I reported an issue to Loganâs and the manager contacted me and realized that their staff in the bar area was mistreating customers. He knew exactly the individual that was the issue and asked that we return but we were so badly treated, and yes, we got up and left, by the bar server and the hostess/manager on duty that we have not returned. When you are mistreated at an establishment you do have the option to take your business elsewhere which we have done ever since. Huntsville Balmoral Location â This is the latest and most recent location of issues. The outside of the location has had some renovations but the inside has had nothing done. We were seated at a table that had a ripped topper that was exposing the particle board wood and it was stained so it had been that way for a while. I covered it with their promotional item list so we didnât have to look at this during our meal. The server was great for this visit but the food was questionable. The salad greens which I will use that term lightly were browner and more wilted than green and by the time we picked out all the bad parts were hardly left with a salad. The baked sweet potato that we both got was not fully cooked. My glass when I was almost finished with my meal my wife noticed it had a dried substance inside the glass that would come lose when scrapped with the straw. We were both tired and hungry so we ate what we could and then left. This facility is really falling down and needs some major work. Servers are usually good but food is questionable. We like the others will not be returning. Iâm a Loganâs rewards member and this used to be one of my favorite places to frequent but I have no choice due to poor food quality and service to take my business to other locations that offer similar if not the same items. Loganâs corporate really needs to look at these locations and see what it is doing to their reputation and brand. I cannot recommend and hope others never have similar situations with...
Read moreAs a former employee for this restaurant, I am using an alias for this review. To prove the validity of this review, lifting the booth seats adjacent to the kitchen (33-35?) will have invoices and employee cash out sheets from years prior.
The TLDR? Do not eat food from here, nor give a penny to the management of this Loganâs. Im honestly surprised the restaurant is still open from the various incidents that have happened inside.
Call the health department on this restaurant and I can assure you they will find food that is out of date or already perished. No low review here is wrong about the food. Steaks and other foods will repeatedly come out of temp, burnt, or even raw? I donât understand how that happens because the head manager is the one cooking these foods most if not all the time.
The management overworks all of their staff, who are already forced to live off of tips, and does not always listen to schedule changes, or complaints at all. There are workplace violating relationships between staff members also, and those who are not part of it are ostracized, which is why this stores turnover rate is astronomical. In the time that I have worked there, there have been more than 30 different staff members who have either quit (much of them on their first day/week) or been fired. Only failure to train leads to a turnover rate like that.
The amount of favoritism the restaurant has is crazy enough, they willingly employ males who are very inappropriate towards female staff, especially younger. Many of my coworkers have shared the same sentiment of feeling uncomfortable coming to work. The only way they will fire people who they hold favoritism towards is if those higher order them to. I would advise women or anyone really to not look here for a place of employment. The managers had also come under fire for workplace discrimination which I donât know a lot about, but I wouldnât recommend people of color to insert themselves in this environment either. This was and is a terrible place to work.
The only way this restaurant has any chance of having a better star rating is to completely change its management and pay their workers better wages. If not, it only goes...
