We had lunch here and fully enjoyed ourselves. The waiters were friendly and even joked around with us when we ordered glasses of water after we had first ordered a margarita by saying, "Oh, the water here is no good. You probably want another margarita...." They did bring us water, of course, and soon after they brought our delicious entrees, which we felt were reasonably priced. No one dish stood out because they were all delicious and there was just enough food on our plates to satisfy our hunger and leave enough room for a single sweet churro at the end of the meal. If we are ever in this area again we will return and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a fairly priced and flavorful meal.
Accessibility: One person in our party was physically disabled and there were no steps for him to try to climb to get into the restaurant or to the dining area (though there are a couple of areas there for those who prefer and can handle that.) The chairs and tables were also standard height, 18" and 36" respectively, which was a major concern for us since tall table and bar stools are uncomfortable and dangerous for those with balance issues. The spacing of the furniture was also quite comfortable and easy to navigate. For those in need of a physically friendly place that can accommodate those patrons with accessibility issues, this restaurant is the...
Read moreAs a seasoned restaurant reviewer, I have had the pleasure of dining at some of the best establishments in the city. However, my recent experience at a once-beloved restaurant left me feeling utterly disappointed.
Typically, my annual visit to this restaurant is a highlight of the year. The meal is always exquisite, the service top-notch, and the overall experience truly memorable. Unfortunately, this year was a sad let down.
From the moment we sat down, it was clear that something was amiss. The overcooked rice and watered-down salsa were just the beginning of a series of missteps that would ultimately ruin the dining experience. To make matters worse, we were served by not one or two, but a total of five different waiters throughout the course of our meal. The lack of communication and coordination among the staff led to a complete disarray in both service and delivery of our food.
We're considering returning next year for another chance at a stellar dining experience, with hopes that improvements will be made to the overall service and food quality. Only time will tell if this establishment can redeem themselves from this year's let down.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell short of the high expectations set by previous visits. Let's all hope for better...
Read moreif your going to this place for positive ratings, huge mistake. Its like walking into a restaurant that should have closed yrs ago, dated, 1970's food selection. The people who gave positive reviews obviously haven't had great Mexican food! The food is flavorless, salsa tasted like store bought, not fresh, extremely small portions, the "famous" margarita is watered down, it was more like limeade, and for $7.50 it should have been great. The service was poor, a waiter talked very loudly right beside our table, with the already loud 3 kids, who's father left them unsupervised to chat up other employees. The beef fajitas were horrible and the meat tasted old. The beans and rice were barely enough for a child portions. The music played was loud, and tuned to a Spanish radio channel, so while dining you get hear to car ads! To top the evening off, our bill was 70$ for 2 and this was happy hour....Avoid, avoid, and avoid this place, save your money, go down the street and eat at 7 Leguas Mexican Grill, the food is true Spanish taste and the margaritas will keep you...
