Holy Canole! this place is bomb! I door dash so I mentally accumulate places and take note of which I would like to revisit as a customer. This place is so good. The texture of the burgers is amazing. The bread I ordered was sweet and the onion rings were soooo good. I could taste the seasoning in the batter and they were cooked perfectly I wasn't even hungry when I came here, I came to get my kids some food but the bites I stole were delicious. That's how I know it's for sure because I wasn't just desperate because I was starving, no, I could make myself hurt here. They cook them fresh in front of you, the patties are not from frozen and unlike other burger places they are not expensive at all. I believe we paid 9 dollars for a burger with onion ring upcharge and a drink and 2 extra sauces. So the burger its self was probably 5 or 6 dollars. Where as at five guys I'd spend roughly 3 grand (J.K) to feed my family this place is much more reasonable.
Dude, okay. Hahah hiii it's me again. First off I went here again and the AC in the store was messed up, but to say I'd walk through the flames of hell for this burger is an understatement. The man behind the counter was sooo friggin nice and this burger is phenomenal like I can't get over it. I made the mistake of going to In and out yesterday and did nothing but compare it to this one...it ain't got nothin on this one..makes In and Out taste like a soggy boot. 10/10 every time.!!! I'm going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love coming across hidden gems in unassuming gas stations. I travel a lot for work, so I have come across a lifetime's worth of different varieties of food joints in gas stations. Most are pretty terrible to average.
In the burger world, Shorts Top Burgers is by far the best one I've experienced. Don't let the gas station's aesthetics deter you. Walk in, grab an order slip and pen at the counter, and mark your order. Pay at the cashier, and wait. I promise, the wait will be worth it.
A super juicy burger cooked to perfection and covered with pepper jack cheese, fresh simple veggies to bring that crunch to every bite, and a sourdough bun that I highly recommend. This burger was enough for 2 people, and the fries & onion rings were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right.
A half pound bacon cheeseburger combo with onion rings, fries & a drink will run you $15 bucks out the door (Feb 2025). It's not a complex burger, but, much like O.M.G Burger in Longview, they nail the basics PERFECTLY and throw in a few more options like different cheeses & bun selections. This is what makes this place my new overall favorite burger joint.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreHeard this was a great burger place and thought I would give it a try for the first time. What a mistake. Since it was my first time there I asked the lady at the counter for help. She was friendly and helpful. Suggested I try my burger with the sourdough bun. Great choice. Thanks. Ordered the Jr. combo with fries and side of onion rings. No kidding , it took 25 minutes for the burger and there were only 2 others in line ahead of me and 2 phone orders. I was ready to get my money back and eat somewhere else but hung in there as the cook said my order is almost ready. Finally. As he gets ready to hand me my food they FORGOT my onion rings and said it would be a few more minutes. READ the order sheet next time..... 33 minutes after ordering finally got order and left. DISAPPOINTMENT !!!! Burger was OK and the bun was really good but the fries were barely cooked and mushy. Did not eat them. Onion rings were good. Organize the kitchen for a smoother flow. Cooks were slow and not very organized.
Giving 2 stars for the bun and the rings.
I will NOT return. To much drama and the food quality does not reflect the hassle of 33 minutes...
