We have been faithful customers to this restaurant Lindo Mexico in Huntsville for a very long time. However the last few times that we have been there the service was terrible and the food was not much to be said for. We went and had lunch today and we ordered the beef soup. This is not the first time that we had to fight with our food before we could even eat it. They have brought our soup out to us before when it was lukewarm and as always the pieces that they put in the soup are so big that you have to take them out of the bowl to cut them up to be able to eat them. The beef was very tough you could barely chew it and today I finally put my spoon down and decided I’d had enough. The spoon that they brought my husband was like a baby spoon and my husband is a very large man. By the time we finish cutting up the vegetables and trying to cut the meat into pieces our soup had already got cold. We tried to flag a waiter or waitress and we could not get anybody. The waitress never even came back to see if there was anything that we need it.When we checked out I went to the cashier and I very politely explained the situation that I am putting down here in my comments. she got the lady that was standing nearby which I assumed was a manager since she made the call on my situation. They discussed in Spanish and the “manager was not even willing to give me a discount. I was not trying to get a free meal I was trying to be halfway fair about it and at least get a discount for our order. She was not willing to do anything so as far as I’m concerned she is all about the money and not a happy customer. I told her that we’ve been faithful customers for a long time and that if she wasn’t willing to discount our check that we would never come back again and today was our last day of business that she would get with us. She walked away. I’ve noticed on prior comments that this particular incident is not the first complaint concerning their soup. Obviously she is not willing to bend in the customers favor and so therefore I would not recommend this...
Read moreI finally stopped in this place after living in Huntsville for over 4 years. Despite good reviews and word of mouth, I let the location and outside appearances hold me back. I am glad I finally went in! The dining area was clean. And the food being prepared in the kitchen smelled nice. The menu has a lot of breakfast items which looked good. As well as, several sea food, chicken and beef meals. My visit was about 5pm on Monday. Theretablesa few other diners but many tables were free. Lots of large tables for families or groups. I was first served corn chips, red salsa, green salsa and pickled carrots. The red salsa had been heated which I prefer. It was kinda chunky with veggies like onion and tomatoes. It tasted fresh. The green salsa had some pepper fire to it. It was very good and had a fresh homemade taste of tomatillas. I ordered a meal with a beef chalupa, a chicken fajita taco and a chicken flauta. It came with refried beans, mexican rice and guacamole. I ordered pico de gallo. The best quacamole ever!!! It taste like the kind you get made tableside, if you pay a little extra, at other places. Perfect blend of spices. Fresh. The chicken fajita meat was well seasoned white meat. The hamburger meat on the chalupa really had a good flavor. Much better than other places I have tried. The plate came with sour cream, lettuce and tomato. I had enough chicken left over I requested a flour tortilla to make another taco. There was a little wait on getting it, but it was well worth it. The tortilla was fluffly and light. Freshly handmade, I am pretty sure. Not like other places that serve flat, heavy greesy tortillas. The servers were very nice. Willing to answer any questions I had. The menu did not go into detail about what came on each item and some words were in Spanish, therefore needed clarification. Very good dining experience. I would recommend this little dinner. Don't let the...
Read moreMy family and I go often and my wife usually gets the caldo de res. She had been sick and wanted soup so I took her here for her usual. The large piece of beef that's in the soup was too tough to cut even with a knife. My wife brought it to the attention of the staff and asked if she could get something else(all she ate was a tortilla) they told her no and that she had to stick with what she ordered. She politely asked once more and the waitress told her "two other people ordered the same thing and they didn't complain so no". The conversation was in Spanish so I asked my wife what the waitress said and when she told me the waitress intervened and told me in english "ya, your wife is the only one who has complained" we asked for a manager and she said that she was on vacation so there was no one we could talk to. When my wife told her that we would not be back she simply replied "OK, have a nice day"....i guess replacing a $6.99 meal wasn't worth our future business. We dined there about once every 4-6 wks. Because my wife wanted soup we went to El Gordo Taqueria and ordered soup to go and she really enjoyed it. The next time we want Mexican food we...
