(Store Owner - Read This) Strange things going on behind the counter. The food was good. The atmosphere was decent. The service was something else altogether. Long story short, I don't live in Texas, and I was sharing a company vehicle with my co-worker. We decided to get food here. When we got around to ordering, there was a female cashier who was going to attend us when out of nowhere. A male cashier suddenly rushed to the register, and body blocked the female. (Details he looks Indian with long hair and long ponytails). He then began asking us what we wanted to order. It was pretty obvious to both my co-worker and I that his behavior was off. I later decided to wait for him to be far away from the register to then go ask the female a question, and once again, he shot over to the register like a bullet and body blocked the girl asking what did I need. I went back to my seat telling my co-worker there was something weird going on. When I told my co-worker, he confirmed my exact thoughts... he said, "Dude... that guy was looking at me up and down." In other words, the Indian looking guy seems to be competing with the young spanish female for male attention. What's the point of having a "hired gun" (an attractive female that has the potential of attracting repeated male customers if you're going to have a male employee who disturbs male...

Food is average at best. There aren't many choices in this area. Atmosphere is basic but the place is usually clean. TV is usually a bit loud but for the space and intended audience the atmosphere is fine.
The problem is the service. I sat down in middle of the place to be served. It wasn't very busy. There were two other tables, one of which already had their food. I sat for several minutes and saw people that came after me that were served.
I left. I left because it was obvious that I wasn't respected enough to be served. Shortly after leaving I called to let them know about what I just experienced. They hung up on me. I called back and the guy that answered was very rude. There was no solution reached. I've visited here at least a dozen times over the past year [they just recently opened] but I will...
Read moreI was in the area and came across this gem. 1st thing that got my attention was how clean this restaurant was! A friend and I went around brunch time, got greeted by our waitress Roxanne super sweet! Roxanne was non stop moving around cleaning and attending other clients not once did we have to wait or call for her to grab us anything. She was on top of everything while still having a friendly professional attitude. Definitely I've been back a few times to Taqueria Chicaly since my 1st visit for the Gorditas 😋 my fav. It's always a pleasant to see the Taqueria staff and a plus to see my favorite waitress Roxanne. This place will...
